Actually, as far as I can tell, Player1 is always the PC, it isn't based on position for slot Player1. The PC automatically fills this position just by creating a new game. Everyone else fills slots 2 through 6. This is probably not the case in IWD since the whole party is controlled by the player. I think even multi-player games still have the first player to create a game go into slot Player1, and other players follow that position.

As for the lich, I think I have that fixed in .41 but I will verify. I know someone else had mentioned this problem earlier.

Hi, just finished the first section of this mod. GREAT WORK! I love it.

Just thought I would drop you a line to let you know how much I appreciate your effort, and to let you know about a couple of really minor glitches I hit.

1) I rescued the dragon and returned it, then later I talked to Meepo after wiping out the goblins just to see if he would have anything new to say, and he rejoined my party, without me even asking!

2) The statue you have to talk to to reach the dragon priest was a bit glitchy. First, I didn't get close enough to it for it to talk to me, yet I couldn't save, as though I was in dialog mode. Second, when you are asked if you are ready to answer, the dialog option "Ask what?" (or "Ask about what?", or something like that) exits the dialog as if you had said no. Third, you really need to come up with a new riddle, BG2 uses that one twice itself!

Overall though, I have really found the mod excellently done so far. Here's to you!

Hey, sorry I haven't posted in a while but had a heart attack. I'm back, feeling good, and ready to continue my bug checks.

First I'll comment that I'm not finding very many typos this cycle. The product is excellent. Here are a few of what I did find.

TCMMWOM2.d

I will continue my bug check & start a new playthrough. SBB, you and your team are doing a great job, I thoroughly enjoy playing your Mod.

In a previous post there was a comment about the riddle. I agree that it seems that the same riddles continue to come up, but I'm also wondering if you were just being true to the original module?

Hi, thought I would drop in with a few more comments. I have now played through the end of Mistmoor Manor, and I have really enjoyed myself. Thanks so much for all your work!

A couple more comments on things I have seen:

1) The dialog needs to be searched for the word "loose", because nearly every time it appears, the word that belongs there is "lose".
2) Had a bug in Elminster's dialog. It displayed a couple of lines of dialog that were clearly scripting code for checking whether Rihn is in your party or not.
3) The mirror in Mistmoor Manor needs to be moved. Having it totally invisible in that corner makes it pretty much impossible to find without checking on these boards for the picture that shows where it is.

Other than that, I have been really impressed. AWESOME!

One of my sons has been playing CA and has developed a buglist. I am posting it for him with the disclaimer that I have verified many but not all of these bugs. I may also have difficulty expanding on some of these bugs because of this. Some of these may have already been addressed by SBB but I'm providing the full set of comments anyway.

Classic Adventures v0.40 BUGS

1. Garon in the Ol? Boar Inn has an Umar Witch Project Journal?

2. When you start Baldur?s Gate II, the SoA intro movie is played. It would be awesome if you could have a Classic Adventures intro movie!!

3. Meepo will rejoin your party after completing the epic dragon quest, but you cannot go down a level with him. He disappears but he is still in your party.

4. Belak the Outcast?s dialogue still loops creating millions of twig blights if you kill the tree before him.

5. The Book Merchant does not recognize that I have the Glitterhame Document.

6. When in Oakhurst, Rurik can sell you a set of full plate armor. When you go to his store in Saltmarsh, he does not offer it. Shouldn?t his store have more and better supplies than his traveling wagon?

7. You cannot write the scroll Orb of Air to your scroll book.

8. If a character talks to Rurik, he initiates his join/leave party dialogue.

9. Oakhurst is not on the world map. Neither is the ravine. Even though there is not much there, they still exist and would be on your map if you were playing PnP AD&D.

10. Meepo still does not have a soundest. I realize that you said it was not a priority, but it would still be nice to give him one. I picture it being similar to Cespanar?s.

11. When you put equipment or armor on Meepo, it does not show up on his Avatar.

12. The version number on my Options page is v2.5.26498. I think it should be changed to ?CA v0.37?, followed by ?CA v0.38? and so on.

13. Lizardman chief says ?We need to start heading?? NO VALID REPLIES OR LINKS

14. I can tell the Priestess of Umberlee that I met a strange priest from there earlier today, I have not met him.
15. Long sword +1 ?Shatterspike? the inventory picture/ icon ( ) does not match the main screen picture/icon ( ).

16. I have finished EVERYTHING up until Mistmore Manor, but I the following unfinished quests are in my journal: (Chapter 1) Return 2 apples, find the source of the apples, Find the Hucreles, Flowers for Chaarna, Rescur Calcryx, (Chapter 2) Missing Saltmarsh Children, The Haunted House, Find the Secret Hideout, Wyvern Hunt, and Inform Council.

17. One of the loading area messages talks about the Adventurers Mart, which is no longer in the game.

18. Almost every ? is a ?

19. In the Outlook Inn, it costs 20gp to rest in a noble room, and 8gp to rest in a royal room.

20. The ancient elves recruited in the Vault of Ages should have some cool spells that have been forgotten in centuries past.

21. Alhoons do not turn hostile when attacked.

22. Alhoon cloak is in my invertory but Hotskettle does not recognize it of give that dialogue.

23. I attacked Blight but he did not attack me back.

24. I talked to Azimer without my party in his sight. He said one line and, and refused to talk to me again. I can?t leave.

25. Azimer imprisoned Lashan, therefore if you cast a freedom spell, it should free him. It tried it but it did not work.

26. The Imp does not follow me at the entrance.

27. Rivian offered to teach me the Bladesong for 15000gp. I have more than enough money, but I did not have the option to give the gold to her.

28. You can click on the table with the _____ sign, but it tells you nothing.

29. The picture is floating in mid air. It is not on a stand or mounted on a wall. You can walk behind it.

[Some of these items include screen captures that help clarify the bug. I had trouble getting the pictures to import into this posting so I have attached a .doc file which includes the pictures. Mythryl Eagle]

Fixed that a few weeks ago, and it'll be in CA0.41. =)

Flowers for Chaarna will be completed much later when you find her again.

Thank you for the bug list.

@joefitts63, I'll leave it to Sir Billybob to answer your post as I don't know scripting very well.

Eh, too many bugs....

Several of these are now fixed for 0.41, I had gone through the game several times trying different tactics and found some of these already. I guess I need to print off your list and see if I can verify which ones are or are not fixed yet.

Anything to do with Meepo should be fixed now. I have made several changes to his dialog and scripts.
Same with Blight. He should attack if attacked or if you now steal his treasure.
Journal entries are being cleaned up as well.
Worldmap - there will be some future changes to it, but not in 0.41. You will get Oakhurst at some point, trust us.

Typos have some fixes if I also discovered them, but I didn't scrub the TP2 file, so I will need to do so now, thanks.

American vs. British English will continue to be a problem. The team is spread out across the world now so who knows which version of English any of us will be using. I will try to standardize everything on American if I can. However I have already discovered that MS-Word will accept British versions without flagging them. Maybe that is a setting I already had. Whatever, this issue will probably be around long after we ever finish this project.

TC0009.ARE

There's a small "Exit" spot (SR map) near the top left corner - approx. at 16:456 coordinates - which allows party to escape the area....
It shouldn't be there I guess...

Thanks, KD. I found another one on the right side of the map. Cyan isn't easy to see in bright green. Hopefully, in a few versions from now, this won't be an issue anyway. Fixed for now.

Updates on M.E.'s bug list.

The spelling errors, dialog loops, and journal issues should all be fixed now.

Other issues:

Meepo - No, his portrait doesn't change with weapons. It is a static bitmap, not the same type of picture that is used for other avatars. Not sure what if anything could be done about this.

Version number - Since this shows you what version of the BGMAIN.EXE file you have, I was originally going to leave this alone. However, after playing with the screen, I figured out how to change it, so now it does say CA 0.41 (or at least my version does).

Opening Screen - If someone was willing to change it like the BGT screen is, that would be great but otherwise, I will have to leave it for now.

Adventurer's Mart - Are you saying that just because you haven't come across one, I can't have one later? The store will be Selgaunt once you are able to enter that city. It is the only large city in the area that should have such a place.

The sword, spell, and other item fixes are taken care of. After 0.41, I may review the wish list again to see what else I can work on.

I just started a CA game to pass away the time while waiting for the latest versions of the BP family mods to come out. Pass away the time did (amazing how quickly midnight arrives when your not paying attention.

The one issue I've come across is in the Sunless Citadel, I guess Meepo joined the party, because he hopped along in step with player one, but I never got the avatar on the side of the display, nor could I equip him, etc.

Meepo has two options. You can either have him join you like a normal NPC, or you can have him "guide" you. It sounds like the second one in your case. This way, a full party can still have him tag along on his quest without having to remove someone else. Later, you will find that some of the other NPCs offer the same ability. I came up with this idea for players that didn't want to remove a permanent party member just for a short quest some other NPC offers. If the NPC "guides" you, he is like a summoned creature in that you can control his movement and fighting, but you can't see the inventory or any NPC stat info. He can't have banters but some key dialogs still trigger just like he was in the party.

Thanks SBB. I missed the "tag along" option the first run through. A couple other items I've run across so far, Rurik's half of the "Glitterhame Document" dialog is there, but there's no corresponding dialog from the book merchant.
Also Shadow keeps repeating the banter with Rurik every several hours or so about why does he follow <charname>.

I think the Glitterhame document should be working. Can you reload and check again? (the quest won't come into play for a while so it won't effect your game.)
