If you got the new dvd collection then you might not need the patches. Look thru the documentation and see if the patches are already included.

Better : look at version number in-game.

If BG1+TOSC is 1.3.5511 or below : need TOSC patch
If SOA+TOB is 2.5.26461 : need TOB patch

I don't have the DVD collection (4 in 1), but someone has already reported to me that the BG1 version in that collection is NOT patched sadly...

But... Ahm this now what is happening (sry but wasnt test it properly) okie after instaling ToB patch, graphics problems have been solved, game starts as it should be, but...
When u talk to Minsc and he free him self. Only normal solution is to take him in to party. Then game just simply chrashes to desktop.

Have tried to uninstal and install it again without patch seams that problem still stick. Aldo i aint currently in posibility to look for game version number since im on job.
But have thinking (since it gives me nightmare) is it problem maybe in Direct X, since im runinng XP (9.1 directX installed). Doo i need to instal that directX patch what they offer?
Maybe this is problem... Dont know, only thing i know is that didnt play BG for eternity (*looks on flor in shame*) but must tell u that i didnt know that infinitive engines exists att all until last week.
And i happy to find like minded ppl who accept pure fact that BG serries is THE GREATEST GAME EVER CREATED!.

I only hope ill manage to work this running and enjoy this game and disccus it whit u all on forums.
Before when i was able to play BG on w98 i manage to create my cler/mage (think 24/22 lvl or other way around).

Therefor guys if I dont manage to to install it that work proper, respect too u all for effort that this Game myth is never to be forgotten.

Do not install the directX patch. Make sure your graphics card drivers are updated and your directX also. This is a weird bug with only SoA, TOB and official patch installed.

Okie ill told u exaactly what i did for yesrday.
Have installed: BG1, ToSC without patch.
BG2, ToB whit that patch u tell me (24.... or that whit number 8 at end)
Have tried game to start it worked, have start to free Minsc, after succes conversation, he free him self and tried to invite him to party Game chrashes.
After giving a shot 2 or 3 have instaled That BG fix patch, problem stays again.

Sistem im running 3,2 Ghz Pentium4, Intel chipset, Ati Radeon X300 Pro 128MB (not much but it works okie whit Dungeons&Dragons Online parexample)
2 gigs of Ram. Integrated sound card.
OS windowsXP recently updated.
Hm i think that maybe okie info for getting the picture. If any super hitec, coding, sistems admins info u need to know. Wont be much of help too u since i aint much of sistem knowing character. Lets say that i know how to work my computer propery. Managed to install WeiDU whitout problems. (talkinig about first time before i have post here).
Its just to let u know whit what kinda person u have to communicate.

Will reinstal whole game again. And will try without any patches both games if they work. Also will check game version numbers.

Its probably not a hardware problem seeing what you have for a box. When you uninstall make sure you go back and delete any folders left over by the previous install and give it a reboot just the fun of it. Start with just installing SoA and then see if the game starts and works fine, if it does add TOB and see if it still runs fine, when that is done install the patch and try again. For the US game use the first link to the patch I sent, for the UK version the link is further down on that page, or the european patch located here: http://downloads.bio...98_EUROPEAN.exe

OKie i have instaled SoA, without patch.

Version of game is v2.0.23035.

Have create new game: Dialogs works proper now, have free Minsc, have talked to Jaheira, wolked to first down left room whit golem, have pickup weapons from tables. And lokking at properties of item (right mouse button press) work.
But after that game chrashes to desktop.

Have tried to copy it but cant select tekst inside of report whit codes.
Also have tried to windows find that file and didnt have any luck.

But have been thinking, have looked at read me file of game and didnt find any mentionented sentaces about Xp operating sistem. Maybe to patch SoA whit patch that helps regarding Xp operating sistem.
If any exist, but on box of game writes its modified for Xp, 2000 and NT 5.1 so not sure if any point of doing this. Or maybe patch SoA and Then install ToB, and then patch ToB?

The game works fine on XP. You dont need to patch SoA if you install TOB. It doesnt look like its a game problem according to the error you posted, looks more windows associated to me. Try to disable any antivirus you have when you run the game and see if that changes anything.

remember: SoA full install, TOB full install, then the appropriate patch for your language and location (US, EU or UK)

Okie i have done thing, That i sould maybe done before, I simply instaled game on my older PC.

And i dont know why but game SoA works proper as it should be. So basecly i dont care anymore , will simply install whit ur advice Ronin.

Okie i have succesfuly instaled ToB.

And game sincve to be working as it should be (have tried SoA after install ToB, and have tried ToB and everything works for now) all in game things.
Aldo at start of game that control panel seams to have somekinda bug, It duplicates image of it and place it in right uper corner. But thanks God game works okie.
Okie ill try whit installing BG and ToSC and will use step by stepp to see how this work.

okie after testing everything what i could think of, comes up problem that was probaby for whole time.
ToSC needs to be instaled on English operating sistem ,aldo i aint sure how is that posible since my copy of windows are on english.

Is there any chance to overcome this problem, will maybe patch solve this?.

Not sure what the hack is happening.

Aldo i ha remembered something. What about xp cap removers. Do they need to be instaled, or this is solved in patches i have instaled before?
Or in WeiDU is code that override them?

Okie a slight question, this patch, do i need to start new game after this (not sure if i get it right - this is for ongoing charcters?).

Is this compatibile whit BP, cose my intention is to build whole Bp-bgt set whit whole set of modes?

Do i need to instal it before or after DsoTSC and NsoTSC?

And can i install BP after a litle playing of BGT, if not can i import this created charcter sinc score of this charcter is 95 points?

And what to doo next if i wont to make BP for this where I'm now.
