Thanks for the encouragement, especially to Lava Del`Vortel, if not for him I might not have earnestly started on doing ToB for BTL :)
That being said, BTL - ToB will be simpler than I originally envisaged, but I do intend to get it done now that I know there's still some interest in the mod.

I am glad you see it like that, but probably if not me, someone else would ask about the progress soon ;) However if I helped in any way, I am glad. I hope I will be able to help in the future... maybe as a betatester or with other projects... We will see!

I, too, am glad to hear that you're continuing this mod--I've actually been putting off playing it in hopes that exactly this would happen before I did!

Update
- completed checking and testing for errors during the ending, it should be Bug-Free now and running smoothly (at least it was on my computer)
- completed testing the whole romance, new progression works fine
- introduced background music for the romance earlier in the banters between the two

One important thing to note on those who have received bugs on the Wedding Scene - please make sure your system is completely clear of any previous installation of BTL before reinstalling, I found that helps significantly.

Meantime, remaining...
- reducing Kiyone's interjections / usurping decisions
- TRA-ification

Awesome news! :D Glad to hear that you've decided to continue the ToB banters. I'm curious to see what K&K have to say about all the bizarre things that happen, esp. the family reunion with Sarevok ;)

Good to hear. Actually I finished BTL - SoA revisions for some time already, I just have not found time to actually include in the revisions that would make it compatible with BGT, nor have I been able to conclusively solve the problem with the Z#0041 finale area ; that still CTDs under certain conditions...

Any help would be welcome, especially about the Z#0041 area. I've COPY_EXIST the ambients etc, but still it crashes.
BGT compatibility is just about finding the places to amend in the script, that's all.

Any help would be welcome, especially about the Z#0041 area. I've COPY_EXIST the ambients etc, but still it crashes.

Can you make sure Logging On=1 is in your baldur.ini file under Program Options and reproduce the crash, then post the contents of the baldur.err file. That should narrow it down at least.

Thanks for the heads-up.
I'm afraid job and work has been very hectic :( and all my modding activities have been put on indefinite hold...

Celebrating Chinese New Year right now, so have a breather. But come Wednesday (4th day of 15 days Chinese New Year) I'll be heading overseas again...

The mod as it stands is stellar. To have the ToB content as well will make it interstellar!!! I've come to enjoy BGII far more with BTL installed than without (can barely stand to play the vanilla game; it's the mods that make it really interesting). I'll be eagerly awaiting the release of the ToB material, but will continue to play and enjoy the SoA portion immensely :)

Yes I'm still around, still modding, and still having my ToB draft in my folder.

That said, I'll probably scratch most of the quests and fights for BTL-ToB, and just go for something simple - banter, interjections, epilogues. Cool?

Reviews of BtL SoA would go a loooong way in helping improve for this next release :)

Honestly it's been probably two years since I played through with BtL installed, so I'm not sure how much help a review from me would be at this point. For what it's worth, I enjoyed the mod as a whole. The characters were believable, fun, useful. They didn't come with god-items, ridiculously broken quests/battles, as far as I can remember the AI for the villains was challenging without blatant cheating.

The only cons from my perspective were having my actions circumscribed by the presence of an NPC, and the feeling that the quest to rescue the protagonist's bestest childhood friend ever was being back-burnered to do some detective work. Neither of these ruined it for me, however. My only -real- complaint is that I seem to recall Kova and Kiyone being far more interested in everyone else than in the protagonist, since banters with them seemed to exceed banters with CHARNAME.

Were I to make suggestions for content, I'd say expand dialogue with the PC. As trite and cliche as the theme is, everything really is revolving around the PC, particularly in ToB. It just seemed so odd to me that neither expressed much direct interest outside of their own personal affairs.

thanks for the feedback :) Sorry about the silence in ToB, there really hasn't been anything written for them at that point in time. That said I will take note to develop accordingly, and also try and improve the interaction.

BTW, the Detective Work comes first from Kiyone's perspective, but there's no real serious penalty if you actually go off to Spellhold first and come back after that :)

I'm enjoying this very much so far. It's a great deal of fun to follow this storyline. I'll definitely have a good set of feedback ready for you.

I finished the first run and am starting the second run with a different character and installation. Let me know when you're ready for a large amount of feedback. It seems like too much to print it all here, but I can give a quick summary. The meat of the feedback will need to be sent over e-mail or through private messaging.

Overall I think this is a very good mod. I like the contrasts between Law and Chaos, and the characters were very interesting. The most important part to me is that their story is engrossing. It also does not appear excessively heavy-handed. I will run the mod again and have more feedback after that. Until then, let me know when you're ready for a document of just over 4 pages of feedback.

More and more, I'm noticing where the banter/dialogue lines would be more effective (for lack of a better term) if rewritten. There are some awkward phrasings that read in a less conversational manner...and I know that the main characters aren't meant to come across as foppish or erudite, but as more down-to-earth folk, as it were. So, there's that.

Long time Lurker first post i belive :)

LOVE the Mod and the way it fits. my only problem is how every time i try to do a solo now days i allways end up recruiting these two. even if i just AI Disable and 24h invis em lol, just for the fitting story. and Honestly im mad at my self i allways end up restarting/rerolling in chapter 5 or late 4 cause even solo on core or higher i just get bored. gunna be trying again to like ususal do every tiny thing i can each chapter and finish your mod. i so wanna see the Wedding :)
