Ah, that's nice to see. Still, always room for more.

Priestess of Talos. It's my idea-fix at the moment, one I don't have time to do, and it keeps needling me. I just se her, the pale creature living between fury and extasy. Oh, well. Maybe I'll manage somehow. :)

But yep, custom clerics (not druids) are one thing BG2 does not have a good choice of. Actually, a really evil sorceress could have been fun too.

A single-class mage. I don't think there are any evil female mages.

Ninde. ;)

But she is is a necromancer, not a single class non-kitted mage.

It's completely impossible to avoid any and all duplication, because there are a lot of mods out there. And a lot more in progress.

Of the in-progress ones, which will come out first? Who knows. Once that first one comes out, will the others still be welcome? Sure! Because they're going to be different.

Hmmm. Monk, Cleric, Wild Mage, Sorceror, Barbarian, single class Fighter.

All seem good.

Could all form pretty decently as well.

Monk: Maybe was kicked out of their order for.. acting against it in some way, when s/he thought they were right?

Cleric: Talos pops out, but really, could be a cleric of any of a great many evil gods.

Wild Mage/Sorceror: Wow, could be a lot of fun. Could be insane (a la Xzar), snarky (a la Edwin) or just very power-driven. Or very paranoid. I like mages, and personally this would be very interesting :D

Barbarian/Fighter: Someone who came from a very bloody background (perhaps), who knows that sometimes you do have to kill to live. It's you or them, and this person definitely isn't gonna take it for anyone else.

Whatever you decide, I'm sure it'll be interesting. :)

Wild Mage or mage class NPC. I usually prefer male NPCs but I'll take an interesting female NPC as well. I don't mind cleric classes as well. No barbarian/Beastmaster for me though, I absolutely hate that kit.

Mage Trio has a wild mage, and 2 other mages! Surprising, that. :)

Those names are strangely familiar... ;)

I'm guessing there is a quest before they can join.

As Kulyok hinted, those are your three apprentices, for the mage stronghold

Hm, I would be for bard or maybe some cleric? Or evil wild mage... wow :woot:
Heck no, b - I used the word the way I use things like "twitter", and "iPod" - my first inclination is to ask "what birdcall are you studying?" and I think of "I pod, You (singular) pod, He pods, She pods, They pod, You (plural) pod, We pod..."

Yes, they are, and we are well into SOA on this mod by now (I'm helping with writing) and we hope to make the player want to take all 3 along as they all have stories, quests, and personalities.

As for the new evil female, I don't really care what she is as long as she has a good story and the mod will actually be completed. A cleric would be nice, imho, or a monk. But I would play her regardless of class if you make her!

Hi Minarvia,

Thank you for adding your vote. Hopefully, when my NPC is completed, you will agree that she does indeed have a great story. I am not going to give any spoilers, but suffice it to say that I think everyone will be pleased.
One thing I must say is that creating an NPC is both a lot of work and a lot of fun.
I keep thinking "Ok, now all I have to do is code this" but then I think of more really cool ideas to include in this project and I find myself creating a new BAM, or a CRE....or writing new dialogue....etc
I am really putting a lot of hours and effort into this and sincerely hope that, when I am done, the community will get a lot of enjoyment out of it.

Peace

Don't you think that full mages could make better equipment than mere apprentices?

IE: We've thought about keeping the trio alive and letting people keep their goodies ;)

Oh yes, I'm helping out with the Three Little Mages as well..hehe.

I am just of the opinion that one cannot have too many mages.

In fact, I may eventually make a mage run. That should be interesting. I'll probably do this when we get Mage Trio SoA beta up..

I can see it now..

PC - elven mage/thief

Solaufein - fighter/mage

Aerie - cleric/mage

and naturally the three would be along too.

We could do some damage

That could well unbalance my game: the Staff of Power and the Ring of Wizardry are already among the most powerful items in the game - I wouldn't want better items to be available, to be honest.

(I'd check the mod out if they are all fully voiced, though - definitely).

Good idea.

What about the possibility of taking one of the 3 or all 3 with you as soon as you get the mage stronghold?

Or do you have to wait until all the stronghold quests are complete...that would be pain imo.

Edit: I guess that was OT for the thread...um...more mages are great, especially female!
