Hi, I found several bugs. not major ones.

During the BG1, Fenton, a dwarf in the City of Baldur's gate who give the question involved with Ankheg's shell, has some wrong dlg link. Even if you've already finished the quest with Gerde, a ranger in Ankheg area, Fenton says you need to go to see her, but she's already disappeard after you finished her question. So Fenton's request cannot be finishable. I kinda fixed it myself by changing some glabal setting, but I dont remember how I did. Surely you would come up with better solution.


Another one is related to BG2 romane with Jaheira. I only installed BG2 Fixpack with BGT. So either one must cause it. And now I just installed the new BG2 with BGT Fixpack only without BGT, and this bug does not appear.
Bjaheir.dlg file contains a wrong reference, to be exact, state trigger 8, by which she gets a nightmare when she suddenly wakes up and talks about Khalid being far away but looking alright in her dream.
The original condition for this lovetalk to occur is:

Global("JaheiraMatch","GLOBAL",1)
Global("LoveTalk","LOCALS",12)
!StateCheck(Player1,STATE_SLEEPING)

But for some reason, StrRef:20508 also happens to contain some condition which is not supposed to be there. Sadly I do not exactly remember, but it was something like .. ENDBG1. It seems to me that this condition is always satisfied so you frequently see this exact same event. I saw this talk about 20 times until I fixed it myself.
By Near Infinity, I saw why this happens. Her first line is Str 20507, which contains the condition. Her second line is not supposed to contain any condition, it should just follow her first line. I dont know what add this condition to her dlg file. It is pretty annoying if you have her in your party.


About the Dulrag's tower, the area is sometimes not approachable. You go there, and sometimes cannot get out, or vise verse. I know the tower is only approachable after you meet the guide first. I think there is something wrong in the world map.


SPPR104 has wrong LV. My memory is rusty here. I think it should be either LV1 or LV2, but the scipt file contains the different LV. Minor one, just needed to be checked.

The last one is about Minsc. He still has still incorrect sound set during BG1. I fixed it with DLTCEP because it shows what is not to be there. His BG1 sound file is BGMINSC, if i'm not mistaken. Should be corrected in the next version.


And here are some questions, not bugs as far as I'm concerned. Jaheira is supposed to get several new spells in BG2. She gets Harper's call and Mental domination in her BG2 creature files. I saw Harper's call is added in the script, but it did not give me the spell. Mental domination was not even included. Maybe it's something only I experienced. I would like you to clarify this it you can.

One more thing I forgot is that Faldorn is druid so she should not have remove fear spell, but she has it. Should be removed.

The jaheira dialog bug is due to the line in BGT\Base\D_BG1\aBJAHEIR.d starting with
ADD_STATE_TRIGGER ~BJAHEIR~ 10 ~Global("ENDOFBG1","GLOBAL",2)~
One of the states in the long list that follows is 141 - should be changed to 140. I must have fixed this locally long ago, but forgot to report.

Can't see anything wrong in FENTEN.DLG - both states which give you the quest have this condition:
!Global("HelpGerde","GLOBAL",2)
which will evaluate to false if you have completed Gerde's task.

Never experienced any problems with Durlag's Tower. Do you mean you get "Destination Unreachable" on worldmap screen? What BGT version are you using?

SPPR104 was supposed to be fixed (it's now level 1 spell, as it should be), but looks like description wasn't changed to match the fix.

Also Faldorn has Remove Fear in original BG1 and in EasyTutu, I don't know if we want to change that?

I forgot how I fixed it. When I talked to her, I've already finished the Ankheg question with Gerde. But Fenten still gives me the quest. My build at that time was 1.2 so it might have been fixed in 1.2f. If that is the case, I'm sorry for my old, inaccurate post.

It was quite ago, so I cannot tell the exact thing. On the worldmap, Durlag's tower was unreachable. 1.2version was my build so it could also already have been fixed.

Yes, it's just description different from the spell.

I played it with BG2 Fixpack. And Druid is not supossed to use Remove Fear in Original BG2. So, I think Jaheira and Faldorn should not be using them either because if you carry Jaheira to BG2, then she is more powerful than the original BG2 Jaheira. I thought Jaheira did not get that spell, so I thought it was a bug. But I could be wrong in this one.

Not sure what SPPR104 is as a spell name, but even in 1.02f, Jaheira and Fenten have the problem web2air is reporting.
Checked that on my install.

Interesting, the completion of Gerde's quest involves SetGlobal("HelpGerde","GLOBAL",2), and all dialogue with Fenten that gives you the quest involves !Global("HelpGerde","GLOBAL",2). I tested this in-game and there weren't any problems either.

Corrected the typo. Also removed duplicate addition of state trigger lines to two states.

Detect Evil is level 2 for a Wizard spell, and level 1 for a Priest spell, but they happen to use the same description. An earlier version corrected the Wizard spell description to be level 2, but it looks like this is also used by the Priest spell. Fixed.

I checked the soundset and StrRefs for Minsc's soundset for every MINSC[2/4/6].CRE. I can't see a problem. ARe you sure what you hear is an incorrect sound? If not, can you tell me exactly which line it is?

Well, there is only one way to get to the tower, like you say, meeting the guide. The only way to exit ARD000.ARE is on the left side of the map, near the top left corner. It will take you to the area north of Nashkel Carnival. I tested this, with BG2 Fixpack and BGT-WeiDU, and using the world map that is provided with BGT-WeiDU, there are no problems exiting ARD000.ARE using that exit.

I don't think Jaheira has any unique mental domination spell. Harper's call works, but it is a bit bugged at the moment, in that both her Fighter and Druid levels must be greater than 8 before she gets the spell. I've fixed that now.

One more thing I forgot is that Faldorn is druid so she should not have remove fear spell, but she has it. Should be removed.

Faldorn was given Remove Fear because, although it is incorrect in BG2, in BG1 she had the spell, so it won't be changed. However, Jaheira does have it removed.

OK, I could be wrong. I will try this with new BG2 Fixpack and BGT 1.03 hopefully coming out soon :)

Another bug i noticed:
German version ONLY
Larloch's minor drain is called "level drain" in my version and the description reads that the target loses 2 levels when targeted, no save.
It really does 4 damage and gives you 4 temp hp instead though.
Also, the descript for chromatic orb only outlines the effects up until petrification (level 11 i think)

Looks like BG2 Fixpack v2 removes it, so I suppose it was an error.

Now I remember how it happens. I have not been in the area north of Nashkel Carnival by the time when I got the tower by talking with the guide, then there is no way to get out of the town. I think the tower is approachable from any where if you talk to the guide.

But does it work OK when you finally visit the area north of Nashkel Carnival?

There was a typo in my previous post. What I meant was I could not get out of the "tower," not town. If you have not visited the area north of Nashkel Cranival, then you cannot get out of the Durlag's tower. And, yes, if you have been in the north of Nashkel Carnival, then it work without any problem.

Again, this is interesting. I just CLUAConsole'd from Candlekeep Tutorial straight to Durlag's Tower, then tried to exit using the exit near the top-left corner, and I was able to exit by selecting the area north of Nashkel Carnival.

I just finished this question with BGT 1.03, but this problem is still there. To check this again, I started a new game and CLUA to Ankheg area, talked to her and killed Ankhegs, then CLUA to Fenton's house. Talked to him, it was fine. I believe for some reason, the original Gerde's script, which sets HelpGerde2, does not initiate after finishing her question. I do not know why.

In my old save by NearInfinity, HelpGerde is set 1 even though it should be set 2 when I finished this quest. I load the save and CLUA Gerde, then talked to her again, then she sets HelpGerde2 when she disappers, Fenten does not give a question as supposed to be. Very strange because it seems to work fine if I CLUA, but if I just play through, it does not work.
