We have a bunch of Bioweenie fans here. :whistling: They are busy with other projects and would not have the time to do K3. I voted Obsidian of course, they did a fine job with K2 considering that LA rushed them at the last moment to get the game done before Christmas.

True but Bioware is the better company...It'd be nice if both game companies worked together to finish it but that's pretty unlikely...if Obsidian gets the job let's just hope Lucas stays off their ass, but they need to get things moving NOW!...

Why is Bioware the better company? I mean, is it because they're bigger or..?

Incidently, I'd say Obsidian is too new to really say anything about them. KotOR II was a good roleplaying experience, Neverwinter Nights II was a mediocre if not horrible one, but really, that isn't enough of a basis to judge a company on.

I like both companies. Obsidian has some of the developers from Black Isle Studios in their employ. I chose Obsidian for what some of their developers have done in the past with BIS and what they did with K2 and NWN2.

Her locks were as yellow as gold
Her skin was white as leprosy.
The Nightmare Life-in-Death was she,
Who thicks man's blood with cold.

True, but Bioware has more money and people...plus I think Kotor I was simply better than II, simple facts that will make Bioware the better company to make Kotor III. But they probley won't, they got their hands full with 4, 5 games right now...plus future projects, and an RPG like Kotor takes A LOT of people to make...Obsidian will likely get the nod to finish what they started in Kotor II, or Lucas may get tired of waiting and look for another company to make it...unlikely but possible as Obsidian is also busy at the moment... <_<

Here's an interesting question- If not Bioware or Obsidian who do you guys think Lucasarts should hire to make Kotor III?

Hey guys. I'm really here for Oblivion, but I'm a huge Kotor fan! Anything Star Wars!

I really think Bioware should, mainly because they did a really good job with Kotor. Although Obsidian did a good job consedering they were rushed!

However, Bioware still stands as my vote, they had more sucess, therefore, will probably get more purchases!

However, I honestly just want to play Kotor 3, I'm not as worried about who is making it!

Well, it's quite certain that KotOR III will be released due to the popularity of the series, G.Lucas hardly wastes opportunities to make some more cash.

Oh, and welcome to the forums. :)

I think Archmage is 100% right, George is consumed by making more $$$ from Star Wars in any way possible...it will be made it's simply a matter of when...? But the harsh thing is even when they start making it (which they haven't even begun yet) it will be a year or two at least until it's out... <_<

But I believe (maybe) after the next Lucas project is done 'The Force Unleashed' which is due out this fall they may start talks again and maybe begin there belated work on the next Kotor  Let's hope anyhow, they've squandered enough time already...

Personally I think Kotor 2 had a much more interesting feeling, despite the bugs, and story, despite the missing parts of it. I'm prepared to give Obsidian another chance as I simply enjoyed the sequel more than its predecessor. The thing I enjoyed the most in 2 was the ability to turn your companions to the dark or light side and even to train them into jedi or sith. I also liked the dark and dirty feel of the game, both story-wise and purely graphical.

After playing through Oblivion I'm wondering what Bethesda would do if they got the project...

Probably take their time (as Oblivion took 4 years to make) but the end result would be visually stunning to the Star Wars fanbase.

Just a thought, what do you think of Bethesda?

I have no problem with the graphics in Oblivion, but the story/dialogue definitely doesn't live up to the Bioware/Obsidian standard. For that reason, I'd be inclined to say "preferably not."

Aren't they doing Fallout 3? That looks really, cringe worthy, bad.
No to Bethesda, all the npcs will be generic and boring.

Don't even get me started on that. (Fanatical Fallout fan here.)

Another reason why I gave them the big no for K3.
