OMG! I have to say I got freaked out by this huge list and although I was skeptical at first I am now totally in love with it to the point where I am going to actually format an entire hard disk and fuse 2 partitions in order to install all of it. Great stuff I must say.

I have a problem though: I can't find the NEJ2 v2v42b that the install guide clearly states as proper. I was only able to get the latest version available, namely v6.8 which is said to be totally incompatible. Also, I can't find the proper patch either, NEJ2v602.

Could someone give me a link or something where I can download the files or something. I suppose I COULD install this monster without NEJ but I really want to play this mod. I haven't played it because I played big picture with some extras and I couldn't find the NEJ version for that either. I only found out about modding about 3 months ago but I only stumbled across this thread 3 yesterday.

Thank you if you can do anything and if you can't, I'll just play the mod without the NEJ component.

Good job on making this beast guys.

The version you are looking for is no longer supported. If you want to play NeJ2 v6.9.1 + 6.9.2 (patch), it is available only as a stand-alone version at BWL:

http://forums.blackwyrmlair.net/

Kindly bear in mind that you can get support for NeJ2 only at BWL.

Oh, thanks...

I already have those BTW... Hopefully this monster will be compatible with the latest version... I'll wait...

I'm sorry, where can I get an info of the problems we may encounter after installing the mega-installation. because I just started BG1 fresh and read all (I hope) the posts concerning what I should do and which order should I follow when installing mods, but at the very beggining my game crashes with an error when I give the scroll back to a mage at the inn(haven't played BG1, so I figured I could play the whole game after finishing soa+tob like I don't know how many times :) ). Any ideas ?

P.S. Once again I'm sorry for not registering or anything bumping into this topic for no particular reason or whatsoever, thanks.

Just checking in on the status

Thank you for your interest. I'm working nearly every day on it. It's a huge mountain of work. No one wants more than me to get it ready, but sorry, it isn't yet.
I have made a lot of bugfixes, but they don't touch the mods itself. Some are only to correct typos, others are needed to make a mod compatible with the BG2fixpack and others because of two mods touch the same file. Also I make a simple installer for the whole megamod. All this will be available at the same time together with installation guidelines when that's ready. But I cannot fix a deadline. Please be patient!

I hope I get ready until october. I want to get the installation process bug-free. Sometimes it looks really good - until I make an update. So just happened with DSotSC, NTotSC and SoBH. I have new errors I never had before. Currently I don't know whether they come from one of these mods at all. Unfortunately I have installed WeiDU v200 and now I have a bunch of these error messages: "Unable to Unlink [#####]: Unix.Unix_error(20, "unlink", ###) Deleting [###] (to restore original game condition)"

The bug is already known and will be corrected with the next update. But at the moment I'm barely able to find the real errors among all the false reports - it's sometimes so frustrating.

so one of the first problems that you had fixed was the kiyone trigger typo

what's written:
~=InParty("Kiyone") InMyArea("Kiyone")~

what's correct:
=~InParty("Kiyone") InMyArea("Kiyone")~

but as a complete mod noob I have no idea how to fix the code so it works, even though you obviously did

can anyone help me out here? I really want to use the beyond the law mod

Don't know if this information is still useful to you, but...

You can usually find the real errors by opening the DEBUG in a text editor with a search function and searching for

ERROR:

The "unable to unlink" error messages don't come with that prefix, so the search function will jump to the real error.

Indeed, the hint with the colon is simple, but helps. Thanks. I have not seen it.

I find this bold, ambitious and truly delicious. I'm just beginning to play the BG series again, having uninstalled it around 2+ years ago, and I hope to cram as many mods (old, updated, and new) into one installation as possible. Unfortunately, known and potential conflicts will limit my mod load for now. I really look forward to seeing (and using) your mega-mod installation guide (and fixes) when they're (almost) fully polished. For now, I'll just sit here slack-jawed and drooling at the prospect. :)

i'm eager to pick up bg2/1 again as well, and am looking forward to the new english guide, is there anyway someone like me(that is, someone who can think, and is a fair bit above average with computers, but has never scripted or coded, and has forgot everything about the last time he used a mega-mod collection) to help? if so, i'd be happy to oblige.
