Just finished playing the whole mod and everything was perfect.

I  think it works along with all mods.

since I can only play BG once every 1 or 2 years, I had a heavily modded game including improved anvil the latest version which has a planar sphere extended quests also, and I played as a necro to play all the quests.

there was no conflict at all, Teos appeared but I delayed talking to him and when I  finished the improved anvil part I talked to Teos and everything went fine.

I will attach my weidu log once I go home .

my only request for the mod if you can do it is to remove whatever it is that changes the class of my character and NPCs to sorcerer after I beat Melanthium .

I won't be able to modify any content, the mod must stay as the author intended...


However, it is surely possible to provide you a file that will avoid the change to sorcerer... (if I can do it with my modest abilities...)

 

As I haven't tried the whole mod yet,, can you tell me exactly when the change appears ?

after you beat Melanthium there is a cut scene where the PC and NPC's are in a circle around  Melanthium , then he dies but passes some of his power to the PC. this includes a spell ability called sorcery and also the title of the PC changed from necromancer to sorcerer, 2 of the 5 NPC also had a title change, Ninde from mage/thief to sorcerer and Hexxat from swashbuckler to sorcerer. I think it is a spell effect because only the 3 players facing forward of Mel had a title change.

this can cause problems because lets say I want to play  the improved ranger stronghold in improved anvil , then I cannot because the game will recognize my character as a sorcerer instead of ranger. i know it is not important for most people but still it is also not needed.

Your explanation is fine, thanks (it's not my native language either).

I will take a look at it and see what can be done (maybe the change for other NPCs is not planned and is a bug).

I won't promise anything though, because I'm not sure what to do to avoid this.

I'll keep you posted...

Another question for you Psychlopes, is the Sorcery Ability work as intended on your side ?

 

About the change of class to Sorcerer :

 

The change seem to be cosmetic only, so the game should recognize your original character's class and allow you to pursue the stronghold without issue. (I am not entierely sure but if you look in Character Record ... class, you should see that the class or kit is still the same...)

 

But if you have a multi-class character, both classes are displayed as Sorcerer, even if it's just cosmetic, it's too weird...( so I don't know what to do about this...)

 

Anyway here is the file to place in your override folder (or in spl folder in planarspheremod folder if you reinstall the mod) : Attached File  spcl667.spl   442bytes   71 downloads

 

- Removed class change to sorcerer

- Removed effect applied to other npc (only the main one will be affected)

sorcery does not work.

my PC casts a spell ( no sound ) very fast and nothing happens but where he casts the spell if you use the tab key it will show the word sorcery.

Ok, thanks for your answers...

 

Normally, a text is displayed and the "skull" explodes dealing 100 points of damage to all nearby opponents.

I'm going to modify some files on Github with the fix I already provided to you and two others for the sorcery abilities and the final cutscene (If you go to the final battle without the key.)... (In a few days...)

I think it won't be a problem not to have Sorcerer displayed instead of the real class of the character, while waiting to see if a solution exists for multiclasses.
