I've got some problems to understand some strings of BP. Could you explain its to me, please ?
Here they are :

@8 = ~Me ass is grass, mates!~
@9 = ~Casing a sneak, jerky?~
@10 = ~Well,I'll be a monkey's uncle...~
@18 = ~Bootstrap me croney, ye gutter scum?~

This might be more appropriate for a PM to someone involved with the mod. Anyway, it shouldn't be terribly hard to look up any future English expressions you have difficulty with on Google or something.

@9 = ~Casing a sneak, jerky?~

"Casing" as slang means means examining a place prior to robbing it. I'm not sure what "casing a sneak" would be.

@10 = ~Well,I'll be a monkey's uncle...~

"I am very surprised."

@18 = ~Bootstrap me croney, ye gutter scum?~

"Bootstrap" seems to be used as someone's nickname here. Otherwise, I don't know. A croney is a friend. "Gutter scum" implies that the person is filthy and disgusting, like someone one would find in a gutter; this may refer either literally to the person's physical condition or else to the person's character.

@4 = ~Blimey! I'm heading for Baldur Jones' Lockbox!~

Presumably a variant of "Davey Jones' Locker," nautical slang for the ocean depths; a person who drowns or a ship that sinks is said to have "gone to Davey Jones' Locker." Here, the speaker seems to believe they are about to "sink," either literally underwater or figuratively into trouble.

@3 = ~Hissss--sneaky, for cattle...~ (Bodhi's speaking)

"Cattle" meaning she views the party as food animals, rather than as people, and is joking about how stealth is hardly appropriate for food animals.

Yes, I've already try to use online dictionnaries, but some expressions seems too much specific.
It's true I don't try to contact modders by mp, but I thought it might be interesting for others translators... maybe I was wrong.

Anyway, thank you very much for yours explanations. It helped me.
I'll try to use NearInfinity, when I could, to see the context of this "Casing a sneak, jerky?".

I would imagine "Casing a sneak, jerky" means investigating the location of a future burglary.

"casing" = investigating

"a sneak" = an invasion of someone else's property

"jerky" = ? strange attempt to soften the insult "jerk" or possibly a reference to salted dried beef. The latter is unlikely.

"Bootstrap me croney, ye gutter scum" makes me think of the dated expression "Bob's your uncle". The latter expression means that the difficult part has been completed and the rest of a task is simple enough to be insignificant. In other words, the task is as good as done.

Well, I'm able to translate "Casing a sneak" without any doubt now.

For "Bootstrap me croney", I think I'll ask Horred himself to be sure.

and hopefully i can add some context....

these are all from the various BP thief scripts, so they're all in Horred's version of thieves' cant/ zargon/ argot/ slang - as such, paraphrasing them, replacing them with local variants or leaving them untranslated would probably be more accurate than trying to translate them. that said:

@8 = ~Me ass is grass, mates!~

is part of the shout block when the thief is dying/ being killed.

@9 = ~Casing a sneak, jerky?~

is part of the shout block for when a thief has seen an invisible/ out of sight character - it's to alert the other thieves that enemies are nearby. the implication here is the thief saying to the party member 'were you attempting to case a sneak' - ie it's a sarcastic 'were you attempting to be inconspicuous?'

@10 = ~Well,I'll be a monkey's uncle...~

yep, indicating surprise. said when the thief loses track of (or loses sight of) the party member they were attacking.

@18 = ~Bootstrap me croney, ye gutter scum?~

heh. part of the shout response script: indicates that the thief has heard another thief's shout about incoming enemies and is coming to their aid. other possible responses here include 'i've got your backside, mate' and 'hang on to yer helmet. we'll gut those crawfish'. (also possible is 'get someone else to do your dirty work, coward', for when the thief refuses the shout). 'bootstrap me croney, ye gutter scum?' is gibberish, essentially - any response of the kind 'i'm coming to your aid', but said in some imitation of argot would work here.
