Try uninstalling your mods one by one, and starting new SoA game after each uninstall. When it succeeds, the last mod uninstalled is responsible for this error.

I guess it may be RoT, since it was in every install log I've seen reporting same problem.

I'll repost my AR0602.bcs in the sticky at the top of the forum. I have RoTerror and I don't have any problem getting Mr Happy to show up to do his torture thing, or with NPC's appearing as they should. You can give it a try and see if it works for you, or compare it to your install.

I tried to put those 2 files in overrride, still not working.

Do you have any other solution? Tnx :P

If not, il skip RoT,and maybe instal it later when i come to SoA.

You need RoT installed at the beginning of your SoA game or you can't play it. Can you upload your AR0602.bcs so we can take a look at what you have installed in it? You may be missing a Continue() or something.

I have found the solution, i removed BG2 FIX PACK, and SoA starts normaly, well in RoT stile, wich is very cool! (since i saw it for the first time :P )

Well, i will just have to live with out BG2 FIX PACK.

Unfortunately, BG2 Fixpack is pretty much becoming the "standard" as far as fixpacks are concerned, and you really should use it. Have you tried an absolutely clean installation with all the associated patches 1st before attempting to add anything else to your game? There really is no obvious reason I can see why it should not work properly.

I have tried this:

Clean BG2 SoA+ToB instal +26498 patch
BG2FixPack
RoT v2.0

Not working.

I have added ar0602.bcs and baldur.bcs in override, not working.

But, strange thing hapens after RoT instalation, the overrride folder contains only 6 files:

ar0072.TIS
CLABMO01.bak
LEAVE_OVERRIDE.TXT
portrait.bak
SpawnGrp.bak
Tracking.bak

It seems I have the same problem without ever having installed RoT.

I followed erebusants install guide and had no NPCs or Irenicus in the Dungeon.
After downloading the two files from the sticky thread I had the NPCs there but still no Irenicus.

Looks like I have to reinstall everything. :(

This is probably the same problem you pointed out elsewhere : BG2 FixPack without Super Happy Fun Lucky Modder pack and BGT-WeiDU installed...

Sorry, I felt I don't need it anymore and overwrote it :wacko:

I have the super happy fun lucky modder pack installed! it is component #3 "Superfroehlicher Spass gluecklicher Modder Pack", which is a very strange german translation for Super Happy Fun Lucky Modder Pack. Should I deinstall it?

Look in your DSotSC\over.bak directory, and post the AR0602.bcs file you should find in there. You have the Super Happy Modder pack installed, so something else is causing you to hang. I need to see the AR0602.bcs in your install from just after your BGT install in order to try to pin down what is occuring.

Oh sorry, I read the weidu.log in the first message on this thread, thinking it was yours. :(

No, keep this component installed please. :)

@Dunderdon, please right click and save as the attached ar0602.bcs and put it in your override directory and see if your game works correctly.

Also, what Warnings, if any do you have in your Setup-BGT.debug file?

It works! You are a genius! But what went wrong?

Also, what Warnings, if any do you have in your Setup-BGT.debug file?

only one:
WARNING: cannot find block matching [BGT/Compat/BG2FixPk/Replace/rAR0602.BAF]
Hmm.. looks like this has something to do with it.

@Dunderdon: I'm glad the file got the game working for you. That leaves one final question to be answered. Yours is the only install I've seen that has the Super Fun Happy Modder Pack installed that hasn't patched the AR0602.bcs correctly. Decompiling the bcs gives us the following text for your 1st IF/THEN block:

IF
OnCreation()
Global("NewGame","AR0602",0)
THEN
RESPONSE #100
ActionOverride(Player1,MakeUnselectable(2147483647))
ActionOverride(Player1,MakeUnselectable(2147483647))
HideGUI()
FadeToColor([1.0],0)
SetGlobal("NewGame","AR0602",1)
Continue()
END

The 2nd occurence of the line that's highlighted in red above is what caused the BGT tp2 to not properly patch AR0602.bcs in your game. This is also from the AR0602.bcs that's in your SoS\over.bak which came directly after you installed BG2 Fixpack, so the $64000 question here is what caused you to have that line in your AR0602.bcs twice? That shouldn't be possible, but somehow it happened in your install. Did anything strange occur during your fixpack install?
