I would advise the use of Easy Tutu over BGT.

both EasyTutu and BGT can (and should) be used to play BG1 in higher resolutions. which you choose doesn't really matter: they're both well supported by the people who made them; they're both very simple and straightforward to install; and they both support a wide range of other mods as well.
