Tentatively speaking, no.

No, if one of them leaves the party the other one goes, too.

It will vary depending on the level of the PC.
Will the mod be voiced?
Both Sebastian and Andrei have voice actors lined up. There will also be voicing for the minor NPCs.

Why would Sebastian and Andrei want to join me?
Sebastian had a dream about you involving an eagle and a snowstorm, and when he heard your name he realised that it was a mysterious portent.
Why would Sebastian and Andrei really want to join me?
Sebastian's heard of your exploits in Baldur's Gate (who hasn't?) and is interested in hanging around with you for artistic inspiration. Andrei doesn't have any choice but to follow him, but he also wants to see the sights of Amn, and what better way to travel?
So, about this quest...
It can involve combat, but depending on your choices it will have less or more. If you wish, you need expend only the minimum of effort to get the quest done - although at certain points the amount of effort you expend will affect the result. There is a significant level of roleplaying available during it, too.
Are you going to be more specific about the quest?
It's very personal to the NPCs and your choices will affect them a great deal.
Are there alignment restrictions for anything?
No. Sebastian and Andrei are tolerant that way. And they're both neutrally-aligned, so they don't mind what you do as long as it's not ridiculously evil.
I don't want to be friends with Sebastian and/or Andrei.
Then you don't have to be. Both are pretty thick-skinned. Andrei may get irritated if you insult certain things about him, and there are points at which he feels a little frazzled. Sebastian tends to brush that kind of thing off, but he can give as good as he gets.
Is there a romance with Sebastian and/or Andrei?
It depends what you term a 'romance'.
But I want to show them just how much I care...
There are player-initiated dialogues in which you can have extra interactions with them. If you want to have romantic interactions with Sebastian and/or Andrei, that's where you can do it. Your romantic interest (or indeed Sebastian and Andrei) might have a few things to say about it, however.
Where will Sebastian and Andrei go if I kick them out?
Waukeen's Promenade.
Will kicking them out break their quest and/or talk track?
No, it'll just pause it. You can start it up again by taking them back into the party.
Will I have to choose to side with the thieves or the vampires in Chapter 2?
Either option is fine.
Will Sebastian and Andrei agonise over my Bhaalspawn heritage?
If you want to tell them all about your childhood, you can, but they won't push you. It's similar with the Bhaalspawn heritage. They have enough on their plates without casting aspersions about others' births. Plus, their own familial situation is a little peculiar. Those in glass houses, and all that.
Are there any lethal conflicts with other NPCs?
Not lethal ones, no. But there are certain characters that are less compatible than others.
Are there any NPC-NPC romances?
Not in Shadows of Amn. There's too much going on for either of them to want to get into anything like that. Andrei will have a romance with Imoen in ToB, though.
What items will they have when they meet me?
Sebastian has a notebook for his writing and an ordinary quarterstaff. Andrei has an amulet of protection +1. Both have a couple of healing potions. Fairly run-of-the-mill.
How much dialogue do Sebastian and Andrei have?
Their arc is 27 talks long, so between them they talk about as much as one romance NPC.
How much of the main talking is written in parenthetical actions?
There are a couple of instances where it's unavoidable. Aside from that, we've tried to keep to the Bioware style of dialogue.
Will there be crossmod content?
There will be Nathaniel content from V1, and Sebastian and Andrei will be signed up to the Crossmod Banter Pack.
