Someone ought to make a mod that adds colors that aren't normally available (Jan's, etc.) to the palette. :)

In England color is colour. With a u, as is Honour. For some reason I do honour and color.

As for the idea itself. Well unfortunately I am no modder.

Yes. (I asked LadeJarl about this a while back, thinking it could be done in the form of a GUI mod like TutuGUI but unfortunately not.)

If Jan is your fashion guru and you wish to dress your PC in his own coat of many colours you can always use Shadowkeeper to do a little special apparel editing.

This could be done via dialogue options that apply effects; perhaps adding a new merchant or something...

"Tyranny is a quiet thing at first, a prim and proper lady pursing her lips and shaking her head disapprovingly, asking, well what were you doing (wearing that dress, walking home at that hour, expressing those inappropriate thoughts) anyway? It's subtle and insidious, disguised as reasonable precautions which become more and more oppressive over time, until our lives are defined by the things we must avoid. She's easy enough to agree with, after all, she's only trying to help -- and yet she's one of the most dangerous influences we face, because if she prevails, it puts the raping, robbing, axe-wielding madmen of the world in complete control. Eventually they'll barely need to wield a thing, all they'll have to do is leer menacingly and we fall all over ourselves trying to placate them." -godlizard

I agree, that would probably be the best way to do it. I just got Shadowkeeper, so can you tell me how I would do that?

You could make a store that sells fabric samples, hair dyes, etc. When you use the items, they get consumed and apply the colour effects to you as relevant. Yes, I could see that.
