Sorry for not answering sooner, I've been busy at work. I'm glad you liked the last chapter, and don't worry, more of Chama's past is coming. More of her relationship with Valen is also coming! :-p So stay posted, I'll update as soon as I can! Thanks for reviewing!

I loved that chapter. It was beautiful and sweet without overdoing it, as well as great in its exploration of Hell and the way they reacted to the Sleeping Man. Valen and Chama worked so well together again, and the last part made me choke back a chuckle or two. Thanks again for a great chapter, and please write more soon, my friend!

Characterizations = Awesome
Chama = Fascinating
And reading this is really making me wish I could get my copy of the game to run at faster than a frame every minute or two. All the same your writing is absolutely great, the characters are multi-dimensional, and, well...

Thanks for the review. *phew* so I haven't overdone it? Since I almost thought the game itself overdid it, I wasn't sure I'd pull it off So I'll put in more romance from now on

It's nice to see you reviewing this story too! Too bad you can't make NWN run. Despite serious playability issues (play a melee character on your first try of the game, otherwise you'll throw the CD out the window...), NWN and its expansions are a nice set of games, especially HotU, with its cinematics and written narration... I hope you get to play it one of these days Meanwhile, I'll try to entertain you with my fanfiction rendition of it

Wow, the latest chapter was brilliant, especially in the description of things (yes very much so in the description ). Um, 'cough' anyway.
Chama's past sure is interesting, a very nice glimpse into her inner world and into the person she used to be, and still is in a way. (mimic scenario ) Look foward to seeing how the events ahead play out, especially with Valen and Chama.
Oh, and I love the way you portray Aribeth's character, I always felt her story got too disjointed in HotU because in some cases, it'd be too out of line with the person she was and the events of NWN1. It was nice to see some depth put there as well.

Description? What description? I didn't know I finally wrote down one But thanksHello DalreïDal.

We'll see more of that, I promise. I put so much hints about it in the past chapters, I couldn't live with myself as an author if I didn't deliver later on... I just hope I haven't overdone it and will fall short of expectations when the big revelations comes...Chama's past sure is interesting, a very nice glimpse into her inner world and into the person she used to be, and still is in a way. Thanks. Of course, Aribeth was grossly underexploited in NWN1. She had a crisis of faith, for Tyr's sake!!! Somebody say a word about it, and make her reflect on it in HotU when she thinks it's behind her. That way her betrayal to Mephistopheles will at least be foreshadowed instead of just a sledgehammer attempt at a plot twist on the part of the game developpers. There, I spewed my venom, I feel better now. Seriously, though, I like her, and I think it's unfair how she's treated in HotU. Let's hope she'll be happier in my version of eventsOh, and I love the way you portray Aribeth's character, I always felt her story got too disjointed in HotU because in some cases, it'd be too out of line with the person she was and the events of NWN1. I know all about hectic lives, don't worryOooh, it was wonderful to see a new chapter, DalreiDal. I'm sorry it took so long for me to review, things have been a bit hectic lately. But it was a beautifully observed chapter, and I love the way Chama and Valen are still working things out. I can't wait for more, my friend. Thanks so much for getting this one out on time.
I thought it was particularly important that Valen and Chama have to work out things in many chapters because she's an elf; she's 436 years-old, and it's hard to break habits or change at that age!
Anyway, thanks for the review, and new chapter underway!

Curious to see how Valen copes with the new part of the puzzle, meh, and Aribeth thinks she had it bad.

Thank you for your review, Solar's Harper I'm glad Chama came out as believable. And about Aribeth: lol! Though it's bad to laugh about her story, it's so TRAGIC! *ahem*Well that was a most interesting chapter, and needless to say - her experiences are disturbing, her reactions were very realistic: well done DalreiDal.
Curious to see how Valen copes with the new part of the puzzle, meh, and Aribeth thinks she had it bad.
Thanks! So the hints weren't lost on you, were they And I hope you have some trust in Valen by now... he's going to handle it all masterfully!Whoah, I have to agree with Solar's Harper, DalreiDal. A powerful chapter... and it explains Chama so well. All te little hints you've dropped previously... and now, her character stands as even more beautifully full-bodied. I'll be really interested to see Valen's response.
Great writing, my friend. Please continue.

Sorry for not answering sooner, I hadn't seen your post there... (really, I have no excuse whatsoever! I just missed it!)
Back on topic, thanks for the review! I always find it hard to imagine evil characters and the workings of their minds, and even though Chama's reasons aren't all that original (fiction-wise speaking), I hope I've made her coherent and believable sounding, particularly the reason for her change of heart.
And I hope you continue NWN. It was a good game, despite its shortcomings.
Big thanks for the review!

The interaction with the Knower of Names also seemed pretty realistic in comparison to the one in the game, although yeah even that had restrictions. Overall not bad of a chapter DalreïDal.
Have fun in Ontario.

Well, since he met the Seer Valen has always been stronger than his demon within, even though at times the struggle is more difficult. But I couldn't imagine Chama and Aribeth having to incapacitate Valen somehow because he'd lost control. Besides, he's feeling guilt enough as it is. Poor thing. lolAn interesting take on the Windswept Battlefield, Valen's inner hunger for dead Baatezu almost looked ready to boil over then so it was kind of surprising to see him stay in control.
What do you mean, that the interaction had restrictions? In game, or in my text?The interaction with the Knower of Names also seemed pretty realistic in comparison to the one in the game, although yeah even that had restrictions. Overall not bad of a chapter DalreïDal.
Thanks! I did have lots of fun Saw lots of birds, and as the traditional quote goes "yen a de toutes les couleurs, de ces bibittes-là" which would be something like "there are all colours of these sorts of beasts - white, black, red, blue, yellow and green!"Have fun in Ontario.
Thank you for your comment

In game, feels more artifical in the game with the dialog setup and all, like I said you presented it in a more involving (character wise) and realistic (situation wise).What do you mean, that the interaction had restrictions? In game, or in my text?
