Hey guys, I need some help with this automated loader.
Here is the list of files that I apparently need to have when I run this installer:
-- soubar_v100.exe
-- soubar101patch.exe
-- tdd103full.exe
-- tdd103-to-103a-patch.exe
-- TSv50.exe
-- TSv503.exe
-- TSv504.zip
-- TSv505.zip
-- BPv161G-FULL.exe
-- BPv161G-AUTOINSTALL.exe

So far, I have everything but:

Where do I find those files? I have been looking all over the web, but not having any luck. Thanks for any help.

You shouldn't be using BPv161G. Please update your install files and use BP-WeiDU v177.

One of the pinned threads in this forum is titled BP v177 is uploaded, have you tried looking there?

Btw from there did you download v161? (So I know where to go and beg to remove it)

I did look there, but the download is some .rar program and looks like I can't run it. (edit: I just finished downloading it and I was right, I can't run the download, why? I'm not sure)
I'm sorry if this seems so stupid, but I have no idea what all this WeiDu and non-WeiDu stuff is, I just wanted to expand the BGII game some, please help me do that.
Also, I got the v161 from this very site. It's the only Big Picture you can download from them.

I did look there, but the download is some .rar program and looks like I can't run it.
I'm sorry if this seems so stupid, but I have no idea what all this WeiDu and non-WeiDu stuff is, I just wanted to expand the BGII game some, please help me do that.
Also, I got the v161 from this very site. It's the only Big Picture you can download from them.

Most mods are distributed as RAR archives (some as self-extracting exe); all you need to do is unpack the contents into your BG2 folder, then run the setup exe file (usually it's a good idea to read the readme file first).

The SHS download centre page is terribly outdated, and should be either:
a) updated
or
b) scrapped (make all links point directly to the IEGMC mirror)

And all BP-BGT and BP161 archives should be moved to a separate folder, which should be called BIGPICTURE_VERY_OUTDATED_VERSION_DONT_USE_THIS_!!!!, and then would require a secret password to run the installer to avoid someone accidently downloading and running it.

Well, thanks for the help. I'm downloading the WinRAR program so that I can extract v177 and get this finished. I'll be back if I have more problems (I believe I will).

If you wanted to play BP in its full glory, you also need latest versions of TDD, SOS and TS-BP too. Make sure to install them before BP v177.

I originally downloaded all the programs that I listed above, because the v161 instructions said that. So, let me guess, there are new versions out that I need to download instead, and that is what you posted?

I had begged before to have the old stuff removed from the mirrors but nobody wanted to. I think I even sent a PM to the Wizard asking him to do it. Until the old stuff is off we will just have to put up with people downloading the wrong things.

me too! me too! dear god, can we remove (or hide, or require a password) the old BP files? if Vlad can have NEJ4.2 taken down, surely the old and best-forgotten versions of BP can be put to rest as well. please.....

I'm very sorry but yes all you've downloaded are old no-longer-supported versions which will do you no good.

Pick the file with latest version number in its name (TS-BPv6.09.rar).

Ok, flying Finn, the crucial question - does it work, all the 60000 mods that you have installed. Did you finish the game from start to finish (he, he) without any major bug ( important charachters won't die, quests, mods won't start...).
