im at the step in my mega install where i add the minor mods etc, so i wanted to check if everything im going to install is compatible or if there are any known isues between any of the components, my install, will normally have:

1 full install of bg+bg2(TOB)+patch+BGT
2 CtB, Rot, TS, DSoTSC, NToTSC, BG2 fixpack, SoS, TDD(with kits), SoBH

- minor mods I wnto to install -

3 BG1 NPC
4 BG1 Slime Quest
5 NPC kits(is this component compatible with installed TDD kits?)
6 Deeper shadows of amn
7 Weimers underrepresented items
8 NPC Tweaks
9 Valen NPC
10 Banter Packs
11 Flirt Packs
12 Goo NPC
13 Weimer Item Upgrades
14 Sinires Call
15 BG2 Tweaks
16 BG2 Unfinished Bussiness
17 Grey clan Ep 1(BGT verion)
18 Planar Sphere quet mod
19 Planar sphere return
20 simdingo's quest pack
21 The longer road
22 Kelsey NPC
23 Keto NPC
24 Saerlith NPC
25 Ajoc s mini mod
26 Ashes of Embers
27 Xan NPC
28 The valut V5
29 Ajocs mini mod

- end of mini mods -

29 BP-Bgt
30 Worldmap V6.3

Are there any known issues with any of these components, or their instalation order?
Also, I had a problem when installing bonehill, in the decompression part, it said it had a file format problem(bam) or something of the sort(possibly because my HD was lacking space), but there were no fatal errors, and the install ended fine, should i reinstall SoBH?

Cheers

- BP replicates some of the components of DSOA. Compare the readme's to find out which portions of DSOA are duplicated, and skip those.

- You've got Ajoc's Minimod on there twice.

- TDD kits fill up all available slots for PC's. Don't know if NPC kits works with TDD.

- Ding0 Quest Pack should be installed after BP.

- I understand BG2 Fixpack should be installed first, or right after BGT, depending on the version.

- Have fun...

Cheers,

DtD

http://www.shsforums...showtopic=20240 <--- will let you know when to install some of the mods you have listed and some incompatibilities.

Ajocs minimod you have listed twice.

I normally install bg2tweaks and dingo0's tweaks after BP.

NPC kits only kit npc's so it should work fine with TDD's kits.

thanx, another question though. I just found out about Blucher's alternate BG2 NPCs(lvl1npc mod), but it turns out its not weiDU, so is there no way to install it after having installed SoBH, or is there a WeiDU version of this mod?

Longer Road adds some music to songlist.2da which make it unplayable with BGT (propably) so u need to edit tp2 and delete those lines which are responsible for adding songs/music into game.
NPC kits-won't work for those NPCs which has given total new kits...i.e. if I remember Minsc got some "berserker ranger" kit-it won't work because of TDD.

LR plays very well with BGT without any songlist.2da editing. It just depends on the number of 'big mod' you're adding (just one or two for me, so don't had that specific problem).

But in a way you're right: if you try to add all (or many) of them (TDD, TS & co) you're gonna have songlist.2da problems. It's just not LR specific  ;)

BGT doesn't modify songlist.2da any longer, only its GUI-switcher does (and since it replaces the songlist completely, there will be no problem either).

NPC kits should work ok, it's just that any new kits which should be playable by PC (if any) won't show up in character generation screen - TDD takes all free slots over. The number of kits actually used in the game (by NPCs) is unlimited, as fas as I can tell.

thanks for the songlist tip, just wish i had seen it yesterday......i had to uninstall and am currently reinstalling because apparently there were to many songs in the songlist file.
does the LR GUI fixes this issue completely, even if i have installed more song adding mods(ex- kelsey, keto....), if not, could anyone tell me the mods which add music files(besides the megamods, i ve heard they dont max out the songlist by themselves) so i can edit their .tp2(you just have to add 2 // infrotn of any .MUS line right?).
Would anyone happen to have any other much needed advice before my reinstall is done?

Ya know...I played Redemption when GUI switcher was only a dream ^^
And LR is more complex than Redemption AFAIR.

Any mod which appends lines to SONGLIST.2DA can cause problems if it doesn't check whether file is already full (has 100 lines). IIRC, TS-BP,SoS,TDD,CtB do have such checks - but Kelsey and other old NPC mods don't.

If number of lines in SONGLIST.2DA exceeds 100, your game won't make it past intro movies and will CTD.
If this is the problem you're getting, you can edit the file yourself and remove all lines after line 100. Here's the detailed description how to do it.

In case you install BGT GUI, it replaces current SONGLIST.2DA with its own version which allows you to hear original BG1 music in game (which is why you should install it last, so you can easily uninstall it to restore BG2 musiclist when getting ready to transition to SoA).
