Hi all!
I am new to this Baldur's gate word of mod add ons.Question how does one go about testing mods for compatibilty?I mean i am guessing they don't all start at the begining of the game.I know some start any where from start 1\4 of the game to 1/2 of the game to 3/4 of the game.For some one who want to do a mega mod install :woot: ,....................thats alot of damn playing to do just to get to the mods to start the mods :crying:
Can you install mods,...you like and want to test without having to play hours of game time to get to the mod to test it?I guess some can do that,....those of us that work and have families at home can't spend every night playing hours on end to get to a mod to test it for compatililty :doh:
How does one do this in a fast manner if it can be done at all?

hrm..... using the console to jump around?

I don't know how sturdy that method is, though.
You may experience game-stopping problems later on if you were to skip large portions of the game with it...

You will need to read these forums, and the forums of any mod you do intend to install, as most problems are documented somewhere.

When you have narrowed the list down, post what you would like to install in this thread and we will do our best to tell you if it will work alright.

I use CTRL+J to move around and also clua in a pair of boots of speed. I also clua in a min1hp item so that i can test improved mages and priests without getting killed.

Sadly, I don't see any way around playing a lot. The thing to do, though, is make a boatload of savegames, from which you can start a particular section again. Most WeiDU mods allow you to install them after starting a new game, if you haven't visited the areas they affect yet. This isn't true for some/most of the bigger mods, though.

Either way, I foresee a whole bunch of Ctrl-J and Ctrl-R in your future...

Sorry for offtopic I simply don't know wher to ask: What does Ctrl-J does?
