I think I'm losing it. I just reviewed SPIN894 with NI. Where is the fire damage this spell is supposed to do? I don't see the damage effect. Even when I view the DRAGRED.PRO projectile file, I can't find the damage effect. How is the red dragon breath damage occurring? Are Firkraag and Saladrex using this spell?

Speaking of modding, I listened to IER 3 yesterday, so you can have another quote for your signature: how come you sound so damn cool, as well as look it? It's unfair. Seriously.

I don't think so. If you review the other dragon breath spells (acid, lightning, etc.) the damage is part of the spell itself. However, red dragon breath does NOT include damage as part of the spell. I just want to make sure the spell is working properly. Normally, when my party takes on Firkraag or Saladrex, every member is protected from fire. Thus, the dragon breath should have no effect. I'm wondering if it's because the spell is incomplete as opposed to me buffing up the party members.

I se what you mean, I cranked it open in IEEP and it came up a schooless and as a projectile rather then fire based.
Try buffing with anti-missile protection instead. I'll take a look at Firkaag and Saladrex bcs and see what I can find.

Try SPIN693.SPL -- "RED_DRAGON_HIT".
Moral: always decompile the scripts that cast the spells. Or at least page through SPELL.IDS looking for similar spells.
