both Mazy and the PC are seasoned adventureers so how about Mazzy give the pc a "good game" slap on
the butt after they are heavy with her hand slightyly lingering. She is a truesword hopeful not a vestigal virgin afterall. and when the flames are truly raging maybe a clumsy innuendo about sowrd or spears. such as "Comon (pc name) if you could handle your blade as you did your weapon last night I would not need to lay hands so often ..... Or was that your idea all along?"

Considering two of Mazzy's key features, her nobility (character, not title) and that she's a hobbit I think flirts should reflect these traits.

As a halfling food would certainly have an importance, so an eating related flirt, probably in an inn (the
Five Flagons, perhaps) would be a good idea. After a sumptuous dinner, she might comment on the fine meal, deserved after their accomplishments. PC's response would be along the lines of the meal not comparing to the company, leading to her blushing and responding.

A Trademeet flirt could be initiated when, and if, the PC hands the mantle over to the mayor instead of one of the rival families. She would be impressed by his generosity of spirit, placing the good of the folk ahead of monetary gain. Comments along the lines of "Your generosity and valor inspire me and help keep me true to my goals." Further comment might depend on how far along the romance has progressed.

I don't know that Mazzy would let herself get drunk, even at a party.

Well, I liked the idea about Mazzy (or vice versa) inspecting your gear. The question is serious, how do you *flirt* with a halfling paladin? The only halfling romance we've seen is between Sam and Rosa, and she's not exactly a paladin. I don't think going right up to Mazzy in a bar will do the trick.

Hey How Graphic or Detailed of Inuendo can these be?
I mean
The Pc Asking her "What her Mount would Be like?" and her giving a serious answear sort of like the Griffon Mount she mentioned to Arie. Then he says "she Should spare a noble beast and ride a Baahlspawn." which results in her retorting laughing or responding in some way depending on what the relationship is like.

On her side she can walk up close and make some comment in a low whisper "about being very glad she can hanel two handed weaponry"

Hey One of My favroit parts of BG@ is when you get Ambushed and you get the choice to take the hit for Jaheria dont suppose there is anyway to work that in to this?

When visiting the Five Flagons some possible banters might include her scolding if the PC samples the enormous selection available. It is far more likely that she would scold drinking than that she would end up drunk as an earlier post suggested.
The PC might convince her to sample one of the inn's offerings, either to celebrate a recent success or because her friend, the innkeeper, has offered. A mellow Mazzy might warm up a bit, saying something maudlin, or giddy.
A visit to the Five Flagons might involve her suggesting taking in the show downstairs, and holding hands and cheerfully anticipating a "real date". Non romance comments might concern helping get rid of the planar portal under her friends business.

She May be short but look at her Con stat, she aint arei ya know would be better if she drank the Pc under the table and then gave a lecture on moderation.

Although she has to get over Patrick first, I assume. How long time, or how many lovetalks will she be grieving his death? Seeing as she is a Paladin and they obviously were in a relationship, I doubt she'll move on from that loss until the end of SoA, I just cannot see Mazzy as the "he's dead, cope with it, move on" type, not even after a month (Jaheira took me 2 months). She even takes an oath to her fallen friends, which I would guess means that she will think of them more or less every time a fight ensues.

I wonder how Mazzy will go from mourning Patrick to develop feelings for the PC. I actually hope it will take some time before she has a change of heart. It will be interesting to see exactly how the romance will be done. But for flirt ideas, I would go for the "inspect gear, talk battle strategics, discuss her beliefs" and all that. Mazzy is a true fighter, and her behavior is of a knight. How do you romance a knight?

While her constitution may be high, I am assuming that she is unlikely to be much of a drinker. She is dedicated to her goddess and heroic deeds, so a drink or two is likely all it would take to alter her mood. She would be more likely to give a cheerful warning when the drinking started and a smug, laughing I told you so in the morning if the PC did continue.

I do not see her as much of a drinker, nor much of one who would ever let herself come even slightly close to getting drunk. Perhaps if Patrick were around, but you are not Patrick. At best it would be when she is half drunk she starts to talk about Patrick.. I think he should be handled more, so far I only know in my own writing where Mazzy elaborates about herself and Patrick...

Yeah, Mazzy strikes me as a morose drunk. Best not to go there, unless you want to write the "(sniff) Why? Why'd he 'af ta go an' join th' Shade Lord... gods, I miss 'im..." banters.

Gavin's got drunk flirts, as well as a couple drunk friendship talks, but Gavin's not entirely serious by nature, so he's a friendly drunk. Mazzy is much more serious, so she'd be different.

Unless... maybe, just maybe, if in the right company, like Imoen, she might get giggly. Or she might start hitting on Valygar. Tough call.

well... she DOES have CHARNAME at her home on multiple occasions. Perhaps those beds in there can be used creatively?

I don't think there's ever been a flirt option for when a NPC is drunk, which you can actually force them to become in taverns. So a drunk Mazzy acting on her 'darker' impulses may be the only case of the 'intoxication' state for characters being used for anything.
