Hi everyone,

After eight rough hours of moving SHS and everything in it to another server, I'm finally done.

At the same time, I also wish to announce my retirement as administrator and owner of Spellhold Studios. It's been one hell of a ride during this time I've been in charge of SHS, but I feel I no longer can remain as an administrator with good conscience. I barely have time to check the forums these days, and doing so has started to feel like a burden. Keeping SHS running became an obligation, instead of hobby, and that's why I'm now leaving my position here - to move on to other things.

My successor in my position will be a new name to the SHS staff, although maybe not to the community. Please welcome K'aeloree, also known as Liam (as is his real name), as new owner of SHS. He's got all the passwords now, and I just pushed the SHS domains to him. I'm absolutely sure that he'll do a great job in my place, and he's the only person I considered for the role. He was and still is my own choice.

I won't disappear forever, though. I'll be around, both on the forums and on #spellhold. After all - I still have Khadion to finish. The difference will be that I'm finally able to visit beacuse I want to, not because I feel obliged to.

I'm still slightly in shock - taking on leadership of a community such as Spellhold Studios is a daunting prospect, but I hope to take SHS to the next level, and to be very best it can be. You'll probably notice some changes over the next few months, which will be rather small - if you disagree with any of these changes, feel free to PM me with your complaints.

I'm not a dictator by any means, so if you DO have any problems, please contact me - I'm absolutely happy to help in any way I can!

Seb, you'll always have a place at SHS; it will always be your spiritual baby, whatever happens. We'll miss you, buddy - hope you stick around for a few years yet!

SHS has been dormant for a while now... it's time to usher in a new 'era' of sorts; to a better and brighter future!

I agree the portrait can be misleading; actually a few months ago a member emailed me thinking I was a Japanese girl because my handle sounded girlish! (I really wish I didn't lose my old password from when the forums were first opened as forgotten wars.) Anyway best of luck SConrad and K'aeloree as we say in Japan... yoroshiku onegaishimasu.

Goodbye Sebastian! You were the soul and spirit of Spellhold Studios, and this is certainly a great era coming to an end. I hope you find something else to do that you're almost as good at, I will certainly be waiting for Khadion as much as the next guy.

Can you modify it so that the updates point to the, er, updates; i.e. to the most recent post in a thread? Right now, the links point to the *first* post in an updated thread. Annoying for multi-page threads.

Guest: Thankyou I'll do my best to complete the Shade Lord quest - most of the content is written but uncoded, and I'd like to add another solution, so we'll see how that goes.

Immortality: Hehe - I never had a reason to go on IRC.

Sim: Yes - but I also think you're intelligent, very honest and actually funny. You go overboard a lot, but the *most* of the time I'm entertained rather than annoyed by you. I have no problem with you being here, if thats what you're asking- as long as you don't offend anyone, and stick by the rules (which will be reviewed soon.)

Azazello: RSS Feeds are new to me, so I might have to pass this one on to Seb.
