Yes I read it. I'm not an expert but it seems it adds penalties for thieving abilities and arcane spellcasting with armor (like BG2 tweaks do, but not the same penalties). Moreover it adds penalties for dexterity and movement rate, and damage resistance. So, do you think this is compatible with BG2 tweaks, does it overwrite changes from BG2 tweaks or are the penalties cumulative?

The penalties are cumulative but the descriptions are messed up, meaning it won't tell you what the real penalty is. I would remove the one from tweaks and keep refinements but thats my preference. Having both is a bit too much penalty IMO

Thanks. I hadn't seen that thread, but I'll update my install to take out the BG2 Tweaks components. I think the ones in Refinements are a lot more comprehensive, but the redundancy and cumulative penalties makes using both too heavy of a penalty.

Different .cre names, and different references. They don't overwrite each other. I believe the G3 PnP Celestials affects the celestials you'll summon via the normal spell tables, while the ones in Refinements are associated with the summoning innates you recieve from your High Level Abilities.

I tried megainstall with following components:G3 Bg II fixpack, Sos v1.11, TDD v.11, TS-BPv6.09, Rot 2.0 and it's fix, couple of npc mods including chloe, BPv177 and g3 tweakpack. Well I couldn't find chloe or drizzt and there were no TDD kits. Now I try again with ctbv1.8. Do you have any advices? What mods you recommend? What should be the right installation order?

Can I have some help here?
I followed the Mega-Install Instruction up to the point where I have to install TDD, then I get an error while trying to install it:
"ERROR: Failure("cannot append column-wise to CLABRN04.2DA")
What's wrong?

Try again on a completely fresh SoA/ToB 26498 Patched install. Then hold off on BGT until after your BP family mods. Do BG2 Fixpackv2, SoSv1.11, TDD1.11, CtB1.8, TS-BPv6.09, RoTv2.0, RoTFix1, BGTv1.04, DS & NT otSC for WM6, and it should install without those errors unless you have something obscure occuring.

I have problem with my mega instalation. My game crushes when i try to rest. In avarage 1 crash from 3-4 rest. My WeiDU log is:

I have problem with my mega instalation. My game crushes when i try to rest. In avarage 1 crash from 3-4 rest.
Could ypu posybly help me with that??


Depending where you are in your game it sounds like you might have the Beregost Crash from a corrupted save. See here: http://www.shsforums...showtopic=24121 or, it could be something completely different.

It is not only with bereghost. I had crush also in friendly hand and in naskhel (sorry for my spelling :P)

Sabre, who is in your party when your game crashes? I'm willing to put money on the possibility that BG1 NPC is causing your rest-time crashes.

The reason for this is that the script is calling for a dialogue to begin, but then, additional conditions are imposed on the dialogue in the D file. So you've got dialogue cued, but not able to fire. Crash.

Sorry 'bout that. Cmorgan, Kulyok and I have been working on that problem night and day, but we're still a ways away from having a crash-proof BG1 NPC.

In the meantime, please tell me your party composition, and if my suspicions are correct, I'll give you some commands you can enter at the console prior to resting to prevent future crashes with that NPC combination.

For the first time game crushed with my party of me and imoen, (with dead montaron and xzar - which won't initate dialogue, becouse they were dead :) ) other time i had party with jaheira, khalid, imoen and me, then i joined minsc. I would apriciate if that comands will help :)

Yeah, that helps a lot. And you'd be surprised how many banters fail to include a check to see if one of the participants is dead <_< It isn't intentional. It just worked out that way.

I don't know whether or not random banter call banters will happen if the participant is dead, but scripted banters might, and then they'll have problems when the banter gets to the line of the dead participant.

Coincidentally, Imoen/Xzar/Montaron and Minsc/Imoen and Minsc/Jaheira are *exactly* the combinations that will produce crashes. It's going to take me a while, because I've already fixed these, so I'll have to download a fresh copy of the mod and find them again, but it won't take long. I already know where they are. I can't promise there won't be any CTD in your future. I'm still not quite done recoding my portion pf the mod.

Now it crashes each time i try to rest.... I tryed waiting, traweling to another location..... (tryed lot of times)
Please give me some solution becouse i can't play without rest ;/ T_T

*Edit*
I decidet to uninstal BG1NPC. Then game is still crushing if resting in m old save, but not in new game!! :) So i started new game and tryed rest - it works. but when i try to exit the second area (one where gorion dies) i get that:

hi... curious, i see bgt is now at 104, would there be any changes to the install guide listed on the first page? i'm assuming not considering it seems some people have been using it, but i am just checking to be safe, because i remember the first time i did this monster way back when, and i would like to avoid thoughts of computer homicide.

and for RoT (region of terror?) there seems to be a couple of patches, and i am not sure if the installer (found on the spellhold site) is v2.0? i'm not sure how to proceed with this mod...

You can shave some more lines out of baldur.bcs by removing the contents of \BoneHill\scripts\BHBALDUR.BAF from baldur.bcs after the BG2 transition, as the Sowrd of Flame +2 will (never?) appear in BG2.

I haven't found an answer on this one yet, and as i have a sick note till end of the week I'd love to spend my timing playing this megamod instead of reinstalling again and again :D

The different version of BGT does not change the install guide.
