I'm just reinstalling a couple of mods to see if I got the order wrong. If that doesn't work, then I'll post the weidu log...Any help in the meantime?
Also, Quest pack is taking about 6 minutes for every mod to install. Any ideas? (Same with Virtue)

the search button is yr friend.

"An Assertion failed in ChSound.cpp at line number 4905"

is a maxed out SONGLIST.2DA. see here, here, here and here for more information.

you have two possible solutions: the first is to uninstall the mod (it'll be an NPC mod, most likely) maxing out the songlist. the other option, as detailed in a sticky here, is to:

- ensure that you have all the modifications that you want installed already installed, then:
1. make a backup of the file SONGLIST.2DA, which an be found in your <BGT-WeiDU installation directory>\override directory
2. open the file SONGLIST.2DA in your <BGII installation drectory>\override directory using a simple word processor (Notepad or Wordpad, for example), then remove all text after the text 'BP4.MUS'. Make sure that there is no line feed character after the 'S' of 'BP4.MUS'.
3. start the game and it should cause no problems
- if you want to change your installation in any way (such as installing new modifications or uninstalling already installed modifications), restore your backup of SONGLIST.2DA first, then after changing the installation, proceed to change SONGLIST.2DA as above

as for the re-installing: whenever you re-install any mod, weidu will uninstall every mod installed after the one yr re-installing, and then re-install them afterwards. it does this to prevent corruption of yr dialog.tlk file. so yes, it's typical behaviour if yr re-installing something midway thru yr mod install order.

There can't be more than 100 lines in SONGLIST.2DA, you have 101 line (0-100).

I can't help but wonder about these:
98 MYMUSIC j#blank.mus
99 KSONG j#blank.mus
Anyone knows which mod does it? Isn't it VERY pointless to add two entries which refer to same mus file?

J# is Ghrey's prefix, so i'm guessing it's Indira (unless Akash installed Goo!)

I think I screwed up. I can start BG 2, It runs fine, but when I try to start a new game, or run an old one, it freezes.

forgot the most obvious one: Grey was also the coder on Kelsey - and Kelsey certainly adds music to the songlist.

btw, the ???? in the weidu.log don't definitively indicate a broken install: if you've removed or deleted backup folders (or entire mod directories) after you install a mod but before you finish yr mod install process, you'll get the ???? in yr weidu.log.

you've got two options to fixing this problem: one is uninstall Kelsey; the other is a variant of what i originally posted: delete everything after the last character in line 99 in SONGLIST.2da (including the line break/ carriage return) and save yr SONGLIST.2DA to yr override folder. there's an outside chance this will cause yr game to crash when you meet Kelsey; but more likely he'll just be missing music in places where he should have it.

You have both BG2 Fixpack & Baldurdash 1.5 installed. I think that'll cause a few issues too.
