Why did you kill them?? Just run from all fights. You can save him without killing any of them. Use Immy inviz. 15' and potions of Inviz. and just walk past them. Play smart Vlad!


I never run... almost never. :D Also I was very kind to them explaining that I am at the right side, and that I was framed etc. They did not want to listen to me. On the other hand, my reputation jump up so high after several quests in BG that Shar-Teel, Viconia and Edwin decided to leave the group. I was ought to kill somebody :lol:, but I did not want to kill innocent people. I did not expect the Flaming Fists would spawn at every corner.

I can assure you that if Imoen is still a straight thief in BG1, she will be a straight thief in BG2 (at least in Irenicus's Dungeon - I have not tested the Spellhold one). Don't forget that Vlad is playing with NEJ 6.7, so he has probably spotted a compatibility problem between BGT and NEJ.

So Imoen will be imported whatever kit she has. About Jaheira I am not so sure, but hopefully Chevalier has really tested it. :)

I'm playing with a kitted imoen too (the one from NEJ, but i don't have NEJ installed) i was wondering for that :P "Charming Rogue" for her is one of the best kit ever in my opinion, can't play a "good" alignement game with BGT (ie=from start to very end of ToB) without Imoen and that kit :D :D :D

In that case, beware : the Imoen component from NEJ is continuous ; Imoen from BGT-WeiDU is also continuous, so they may conflict.

Hm, I'vd been playing with multiplayer-created 6 chars and only the Bhaal spawn was brought to Irenicus dungeon. At least with BGT 0.99z.

Solved. But I cannot test all combinations (with and without kit, with and without BGT). Also I have modified Setup-BGT.TP2 file. There is no choice but to redistribute it or to make a new installation of BGT-WeiDU 1.02. Now, all the features and compatibility issues are solved exclusively in NeJ2 installation. BGT does not touch Imoen's kit and her continuity anymore.

It means that the same problems of compatibility shouldn't be solved by two different installations. If I install NeJ2 after BGT, NeJ2 should solve the compatibility problems. Until now, BGT being installed after NeJ2 installation looked for files in NeJ2 and tried to fix them which led to many inconsistencies. From now and on, BGT won't include these features. You will install BGT on the free of NeJ2 game. Thus, all the features available in NeJ2 will be not available until you instal the mod. Compatibility issues with kits, songs etc. introduced further by NeJ2 will be solved by me and only in NeJ2 installation. This way I'll be able to continually develop NeJ2 without backward problems with BGT.

That means that i won't be able to fix my imoen on my actual game, correct?


The new version will require new installation and new game. If you wish to install only Imoen and/or Jaheira component, you are welcome. :)

You could use SK or NI to change her kit so that in BG2 you have the charming rogue kit.

Oh yeah ... correct, she dual-classed to mage now but i need to add her spells from the kit when i edit her with NI too, which is a pain 'cause i've never added permanent/day abilities to character with NI :wacko:

Oh well, may be in my game i will have the kit as Chev ... just wait this week-end (hopefully ;) ) so that i can reach the transition part of the game ... :woot:

On this issue I am going to wait for Vlad to release his updated versions of TS and NeJ2 before I even think about making any changes to the current BGT-WeiDU installation process. The crux of my argument lies in the fact that BGT-WeiDU will only make NeJ2 and/or TS-related changes iff they are detected at the time of the installation of BGT-WeiDU. Hence, this dynamic nature of compatibility patching ensures backwards compatibility (which may be removed in the future, but for now, no), while guaranteeing no interference with newer versions of TS and NeJ2 should they be installed properly (just don't try and install them before BGT-WeiDU).

That shouldn't happen in v1.01.

Thanks Vlad. At the moment, there doesn't seem to be any bugs with the transition, so that probably won't be modified in BGT-WeiDU v1.02.
