My currently installed mods in this order: BG2 fixpack, Kit Remover (thief mod kits), Tashia, Unfinished Business, Questpack, Yasraena, Dungeon be Gone

So I started a new game and I've been running into some random and not-too-nice things. Priests level up and get no extra spells, random priest spell icons with dialogue and other odd things for names that don't match with sometimes even odder descriptions, and even a merchant with "Dark Triad (conjurer) barely injured" or something like that for a name just outside of the Advenurer's Mart. The "items" for sale seem to have dialogue in the names and descriptions, too.

Reason why I'm putting this here is because some of dialogue seems to have to do with Tashia and her name's even come up once or twice. Anyone here got any ideas as to what's going on?

messed up string references - such as you describe - are definitive proof of a bad install (unless you haven't started a new game after re-installing). either you installed a non-weidu mod (nothing on that list is non-weidu tho), you installed a mod whilst you had either the game or a game editor open, or you've just had bad luck. in any event, the only way to fix it is by a full, fresh reinstall.

Yup. This sort of string messup has nothing to do with a particular mod, but with a messed up install.

If u got backuped override, chitin.key and dialog.tlk u can replace your current ones instead of reinstalling whole game (remember to delete weidu.log too). (if u dont have such backup make it next time, saves a lot of time when mods cause mess)

Try to install mods in such order:

BG2 fixpack
Unfinished Business
Questpack
Kit Remover
Yasraena
Tashia
Dungeon be Gone

should work fine.

General rule is something like that:

official patches
baldurdash's bugfixes (and other ones)
items-adding mods
new shops
new quests/areas/enemies and so on
changes of game rules (easy of use, G3 tweak pack, rogue-re-balancing, etc. etc.)
NPC mods
