I've run into some questions about monster pack install, provided by erebusant.

1. How does it handle character progress after finishing BG1 part and going to BG2, do all NPC's remain with stats, developed previously? For example, if i dual Imoen to mage at 10th thief level - will it remain intact or be changed to BG2 version? And also can anybody provide me with good advice at wich level should i dual her to mage?

2. If i want to install some additional tweaks, for example one of the G3s - should i uninstall all mods below BP and then install tweaks, then refinements and map back? And will i be able to use old saves with installation of G3 tweaks?

Thats all for now, thanks.

the whole point of BGT is that NPCs are continuous across BG1 and BG2 (with the necessary caveat that they have to be in yr party during the transition) - so if you dual immy late, that's how you'll find her in Irenicus' dungeon/

G3 Tweaks should be installed as late as possible in any install, including BP+BGT+etc. just install as normal - ie, after you've installed everything else; no need to do anything tricky like uninstalling then reinstalling mods. if it's only G3 Tweaks yr installing, then yr old saves should still work - altho the general rule of thumb is that, to get most benefit from a mod (and in some cases, to get any benefit), you've got to start a new game.

Also wanted to ask: when is the best time to dual class Imoen from thief to mage, considering that i use thief only as a lock-opener and trap finder/remover? I guess the best time is right after i gain 100 points on each ability. Am i correct?

I usually dump everything into detecting traps and opening locks and when she reaches 4th level as a thief I dual her to a mage. I think you will see that alot of people do the same.

Yes, thank you. Also I'm considering giving her Tome of intelligence when i find it. That is what I like about BGT - you can develop your party from the very beginning. Run into your community by accident and love what you guys are doing.

You will enjoy the game more when I get done converting this: http://forums.pocket.../topicseen.html to BGT and yes I do have the author's permission before anyone asks. There is a component that lets you select the starting proficiencies for the joinable NPC's

Its converted to BGT, I am testing it now (46 components takes awhile). When I am happy with it I will send it to the author of the original for his approval and he will release it.
