I have this too.

What's the area name to CLUA to? ;)

(or, probably more importantly, how does one find the names of the areas oneself?)


Never mind. My worldmap location names appear to be all messed up on my worldmap. I poked around a bit and found the village.

I'd still like to know how you can find the names of the areas that you would like to go. :)





Typically, if you go into your installation directory for the particular mod, and look in your Worldmap directory, and double-click on your "areas" tbl file and open it with a text editor it will list the areas and the names of the ares that will appear on your world map. There are some areas in some of the mods that won't be listed, and then it is best to ask for help if you're having difficulty reaching those areas. Many times it is an issue of not having completed something which is required to be able to proceed with the mod, which keeps the area from appearing. Otherwise, there are other fixes available in the forums. :D

I've got a problem with the DSotSC. When i want to enter area at the Cloudpeak mountains the game almost exits itself it becomes a black window on my desktop and nothing happens . Sir Billy Bob told me that ineed the worldmap. I downloaded and installed it but the problem stayed same. Can anybody help me what should i do now? It is a kinda ugrent because i can't step forward the other games 'til i finised this one....

Once you've installed Worldmap 6.3, I think you have to update the worldmap.wmp file in one of your saved games.

Please follow the first, and maybe also second, link in [this post] for instructions on how to do this.

Well thanks for the reply i thought it takes week until i get a anwser. I uninstalled the whole game and installed again, because I thougth i made a mistake addind the G3 Tweak pack. But no . So i left the Tweak pack out but it almost exits the game when Sarevok make his appearance and kill Gorion.... The readme said the WM isn't compatible with the tweaks.....I've got the BGT101 Weidu + DSotSC 185+ NtotSC 145+WM 6.3 . Should i use the tweaks? When i did the problem caused the freezing much later in the game....
My problem is as i stated below the game exits itself and becomes a black window.
Do I need some newer versions or I simply try to update the worldmap file?

You need to follow the advice given to you - here. You haven't followed the most recent install guide. Do that, read a few of the stickies in the BP + Baldur's Gate Trilogy forum (and you'll still need to do the map update), and you should be golden.

To update my wordldmap was not succesfull. I found two .wmp files i put intomy save game folder but it didn't worked. So I must try to use NearInfinty? Well if it don't succeed what should i do? I ' ve got the newest versions of the mods but it seems that worse than the older ones....I getting fed up with up and uninstalling the Baldur's Gate....Why? Now I can't leave Candlekeep because the game freezes when I try with Gorion by my side. I did everything in the installation order, BGT without mods working fine but when i added the DS and NTotSC everything went wrong. It 's really annoying. Or i have to install the Bp-BGT instead the BGT?

Once you reload everything and re-install everything including the worldmap you will need to start a new game. Have you done that?

Dunno if this is the right place to mention it, but the DSotSC adds a non-existent item, HELMSUN.ITM, to the Shop of Silence in Baldur's Gate (STOSILEN.STO). Shows up as a blank space in the inventory with a cost of 0 gp

I've also just come across the "Will's Flail won't upgrade" problem in KELDDA.DLG mentioned elsewhere. :(

Oops, that sounds like I'm complaining - I'm not really, I think this is a great mod.

I've done a full re-install of the whole gameset (BG'+BG"+BGT+DS+NTotSC) AND started a new game but the problem is I can't leave Candlekeep. It's worse than Ihadn't installed the worldmap at all. I Reached more areas in the game but it froze later, at the Cloupeak mt.

You should install the "Revised Travel Times" component of WM6.5 mod. I fixed the travel links with the revised table below:

do you mean that i have to:

1. uninstall Game Graphics User Interface
2. uninstall Defjam
3. uninstall worldmap

4. replace old Setup-BP-BGT-Worldmap.tp2 with the new one

5. install 3,2,1

?

(by the way, i'm using BP-BGT-Worldmap-v6.3 with some modofications done to links.tbl) - or do i have to install ver 6.5? i'v just noticed it is vailable?

i've just got Revised_BP_BGT_v6.5_TP2_for_NO_BGT_Installed.rar and inside there's Setup-BP-BGT-Worldmap.tp2

Use 6.5 and see your other post on the Worldmap forum. I just answered that one with the same questions. :cheers:
