You keep replying to my question of "why is the sky blue and not red?" with "Because it's blue". I KNOW it's a bg1 mod. christ. I just want to know what files I have to change to make it BGT or Tutu compatible. And you keep saying engine mod. It's not an engine mod. BGT is what I would consider an engine mod. This fixes minor scripts and dialogs. Far cry from engine.
What would you have to do? Well, you'd have to change all the dialogue and scripting files to their new names. You'd have change any scripting commands that may have changed between BG1 and BG2. You'd have to make any specific tweaks relating to BGT (for whatever workarounds they've made e.g. chapter incrementing). You may have to convert some files into updated file types (it's been a while since I've checked which file formats were updated so I'm not sure). Plus, any time they update BG1 UB before the Tutu version is released, you'll have to find the bugfixes/changes they just made and perform this whole song and dance all over again on those fixes/changes. Oh and you'd have the joyous fun of stress testing every little change that the mod makes.
Seriously, I wouldn't even attempt something like this myself (and I've been modding with WeiDU for a long time), just because it would be such a fucking nightmare.

Nowhere in the entire of my post did I say that UB was an engine mod. What myself and other people are saying is that what you're proposing isn't as simple as 'these two mods don't work together because of some bad code' it's that you're taking a mod and attempting to make it to work on a different engine (which involves all the fun and games that I mentioned above).
Also for the most part BG1 UB isn't a fixpack. While it does contain some fixes (as their isn't a BG1 Fixpack out yet), most of the mod is adding new (or finishing) quests and dialogue.
And how else is a person supposed to learn?
By doing something small and building up. Anything relating to engine conversion is extremely difficult and trying to start your modding career with it is throwing yourself in at the deep end.
I would strongly recommend that you just let the BG1 UB team make the conversion to Tutu. A lot of this has been done already so you'd just be wasting your time reinventing the wheel. I've looked at some of the code they are posting in the BG1 UB workroom and it is not pretty, I assure you. But anyway, when that's done the BGT team can do the final leg of the conversion (which shouldn't be too hard).
