Hm... I still have some questions left.

"Summer 2008"?

That cleared up once I located the YouTube account and discovered that the "final" trailer was uploaded 8 months ago... but now I want to know if that trailer actually meant anything significant?

I certainly hope this is for real though.

Edit: This is one interpretation of how it's going to go:

There are two (2) builds remaining until public release.
1.0b11 will be released in the coming days to the beta testers and is considered Release Candidate 1.
1.0b12 will be then be released as RC2.
1.0c1 will be released when all Block, Crash and Major bugs have been resolved from 1.0b12.

This is what I've found out: The 1.0b11 build mentioned below is scheduled to be released in a few days - most likely only to the closed beta testers. I have no information concerning the release of 1.0b12 or 1.0c1 (the actual public release build).

As for the trailer (confirmed to have been made in 2008) - it was supposedly a joke poking fun at the people who leaked a beta build of the mod in summer 2008, although the trailer was originally made before the leak. I.e. Team Gizka missed the original internally agreed release date, which was summer 2008.

Oooooh the drama...

Would suck upon full release if LucasArts stuck their nose (lawers) in and forced them to take it down...all that work for nothing *ouch* Lucas joins EA as the bastards of the gaming world.

Once completely done will it be re-released on PC or just downloadable? And, is it free?

As it's a mod, it will have to be free, or LucasArts will cream them (and be entirely in their right to, imho). I'm not sure what you mean by "re-released on PC", though. Do you mean will the game be re-released with the added content? Because that'd definitely be a no.

Curiosity may get the better of me then but I've never played any of the series on PC, just Xbox...will it be a tough transition or worth it at all? I hear they make Xbox PC controllers, I may end up having to look for one online as I never cared for fumbling with a keyboard

In fact the last games I can recall playing on PC without a controller were the Commandos series and Roller Coaster Tycoon...

Well, I'm a PC-gamer, but I've played the game on XBOX. It's not a very tough transition at all. You mostly use the mouse, anyway, so it isn't really a big deal. I suck at using controllers, but I found it pretty easy to control on the XBOX.

So, if its officially out now or at least I was under the assumption it had been released what's the final verdict vs the actual KotOR II game?

Haven't seen any videos or gameplay around so I take it its still not downloadable or nobodies bothered to upload a run-through with the Restored Project yet...
