Well:hi there,
in some new BG1 mods you find so many uber- items that its a real pain to lose them at the beginning of bg2 (BGT, DSOTSC / NTOTSC for example)
after you have patched tob youŽll not be able to use the "quickly press pause at the beginning of bg2"- trick anymore and lose everything.
I would like to know if there is a mod or script that lets you keep your stuff ?
thanks a lot for your replies!
First, even with the ToB latest patch, there is enough of a delay at start of SoA to dop everything your character was carrying and then it does not get destroyed. So, that's one thing. At least I was able to, until I put OnCreation() in all the scripts prep tests :-)
Second, if you add something by a mod, it's not in the SoA install, except with BGT. Baldur's Gate and Shadows of Amn are different games, right? And BGTutu screws everything, so an exported character or saved game import gives you the wrong items anyway.
With BGT, yes, you can go back, and because it replaced the Tutorial portion, I think that the areas might even be saved, meaning you could CLUAConsole the move successfully.
As for a mod that lets you keep - simple enough, edit the AR0602.BCS to take away the whole DestroyAllItems() from the appropriate place. NearInfinity would work, or even the script compiler. I don't know how to do it with Weidu, though. I imagine it would be simple, though.
