Problems with Rielev dialog

Hi again. Sorry about disappearing like that with the transition issue, got real busy at work for a while and some RL issues. Thanks for finding a resolution to the issue; that's exactly what happened in my game.

Have another issue to report; this time I think I figured out the problem. (at least I think I'm close)

When talking to Rielev, as soon as I picked up the energy cells (misc4e), Imoen started "stuttering"; ie. she would just barely move, and acted like she was trying to talk to me. The problem was resolved as soon as I dropped the energy cells. I picked up the cells a couple of times to verify it was associated with this item. Since there's an easy workaround, no big deal, but wanted to let you about it.

Dug into the problem a bit with my limited knowledge. Using NI did a search on misc4e. NI found an action trigger set up to point to IMOENJ.DLG associated with the misc4e item; however, I couldn't find an IMOENJ.DLG on my BGT directory. I looked in the Develop's doc, and it mentioned these dialogs were moved to IMOEN2J.DLG. I think the problem is either a missing IMOENJ.DLG file, or some string references should have been cleared and were not.

Please let me know if you'd like additional info. I have a pretty generic install.

I have experienced this same problem, and while I cannot offer a solution, I did discover that the dialogue error is related to the BG1NPC Project for BGT, as uninstalling this mod will bypass the problem and allow the Rielev dialogue to proceed normally. This is also similar to an older problem with Kivan, who would fall into a similar dialogue loop once a timer had expired, IIRC.

I had the same problem but was able to fix it via NI.

The problem is that the state trigger for the talk is wrong. The IMOENJ.DLG file still has the right trigger, but
in IMOEN2J.DLG it is wrong. Alter the trigger so it fits to the trigger mentioned in old file and all works fine.

The states for NI are 1 for IMOENJ.DLG and 41 for IMOEN2J.DLG.
