I am having a slight problem with my older BP161 install. It's actually a problem I have never had before and I have done nothing differently than from any of my previous installs. The new problem is that when I go to pick up items, my lower screen will flash as if it attempted to pick up but I left to engage in combat. Resulting in me having to enter my inventory to pick up my items. This is not restricted to the pick up of items however. It also causes for dialogue to skip as if I had made a dialogue selection... in other words it goes through the proper dialogue, but without giving me choices. It also makes my items inaccessible to read or even pop up with the identify options. I can exit in and out of the inventory and it will work properly... and then go bad again for no reason at all. I was wondering if there was a specific file fix for this.
I tried reading through posts to see if this problem was previously reported and did not spot anything. I'm sorry if it is elsewhere... you can send me a topic link. I don't mean to waste anyones time.
P.S. Sorry about the other posts. Spellhold's forum was having some errors. I didn't realize that they had gone through because I was being showed an error page. It seems the message didn't get through anyhow.

If it helps at all... I believe it is being triggered in the first slaver run in. From Copper Coronet to the City Gates. Eldarin and Suna Seni are members of the attack. One of them during the fight says "Something is not right here" and that almost seems to be the trigger for the mentioned bug.

yr more or less on yr own, as no-one is supporting the old version any more.I am having a slight problem with my older BP161 install
that said, i don't ever recall having this problem. it sounds to me more like a game-related problem than a BP-specific one; have you tried hitting the space bar and pausing the game as soon as you hear the 'open container' (ie, pick up loot) sound? have you re-mapped the keypad shortcuts, or anything tricky like that?
otehrwise, err, just the usual suggestions: clean out yr cache, temp and temp-save folders, and try again.

Nah I completely wiped it... and decided to update to the new ones. I really didn't want to as figuring out the whole install process is just a real pain... I look at all the help already listed including your install order... and I just get lost. It had taken me long enough to figure out the old ones that I just wanted to stick with what I knew. Oh well. Thank you for the response anyway.
