Hai, I'm a newbie in modding of BG2. I've just got Shadow Over Soubar v1.1.0 (weidu), The Darkest Day v1.1.0 (weidu), Tortured Souls v6.0.5 (weidu), TS-BP v6.04.01, BP weidu v1.7.6 (beta), BP v1.6.1, s and h patch 6 & 7, & NeJ2v65. I would like to install them into a whole new (most updated) BP+NeJ2. Would anyone please guide me w/ the installation step-by-step, from the beggining? Thank you

Here's an instruction on installation order, it's quite simple. Feel free to ignore CtB- & BGT-related stuff and proceed with the rest as recommended. I would advice you to use at least "1) BD-WeiDU 1.5" & "9) Worldmap" though. Also, NeJ in this list is of v42, so if you're inclined to use v65 either don't use auto-biffer or wait a little while Horred make a new one optimized for this version (you could do it w/o biffer, but chances are that you'll be experiencing slowdowns during the game due to huge size of BG2 Override folder).

I'm still slightly confused when I look at that list. Would the BP eliminate the need for TS 6.05? I look at the files and can't help, but think that something is wrong as they seem majorly compressed from older versions. But here is a list and I was wondering if anything else would be necessary and if there is an auto-install for this newer stuff.

Would steps 1, 8, or 9 still be useful. I'm sorry I need things spelled out for me pretty plain and I haven't understood any installation process listed since the BP1.61 and the 1.03TDD days. I haven't tried a post 1.61 install, so I want to make sure I get it right. I don't want to spend weeks on in,re,un installing with brief breaks of quitting in frustration.

I honestly try to look at the forums, but all the help seems related to inlcuding BG1 or NEJ or whatever. Which I would love to do if BG1 would work on my computer... but since it does not it is of no use to me. Any help would be appreciated.

You mean it does not install or does not run? Actually, if BG1 installation finished correctly then BGT should install fine in any case, even if you couldn't run the BG1 game for some reason (say, video driver problems)

You mean it does not install or does not run? Actually, if BG1 installation finished correctly then BGT should install fine in any case, even if you couldn't run the BG1 game for some reason (say, video driver problems)

BG1 refuses to run properly on my system. Yet BG2 runs fine. BG1 runs well for a various amount of time within about 10 minutes, but then always bogs down. It gets to the point where I can move across a room in about a minute, no joke. Resetting my comp fixes this problem for another few minutes and then the process starts all over again. So I'm just trying to stick with BG2 and its mod installation, which is already hard enough to comprehend for me.
