Do NPCs not in party transition over to BG2? Looking at the scripts, it seems like only NPCs in party transfer over, and those not in party just get new CREs made... can someone confirm?

That is correct. The NPC in your party also needs to be alive to transfer.Do NPCs not in party transition over to BG2? Looking at the scripts, it seems like only NPCs in party transfer over, and those not in party just get new CREs made... can someone confirm?

I haven't played in a while and those were different versions.
Where do the party npcs go to, i mean imoen, jaheria & minsc would all end up in the same place in irenicus' dungeons what about npcs not intended to end up in the dungeon with you, who have quests of their own in bg2 edwin/viconia/kivan etc.

Such NPCs you mention appear in the normal positions.I haven't played in a while and those were different versions.
