Hi, there seems to be so much out there already... and from the past, installing as many mods as you can sometimes umbalances the game...

so, what would you include in a BP based game....that keeps the game

balanced (even reasonably tougher) ... and not including too many outrageous weapons that make the
game about the weapon rather than the character

and immersive... keeps with the feeling of roleplaying.. less cheese, more colour

Anyway, remember.. what mods would you suggest?

Until the G3 Fixpack is released Baldurdash is still a must IMO.

If you go for BGT (and if you have BG1 I would strongly advise to do so) I would definately include BG1NPC and TGC.

For BG2 I always found the BanterPack and the FlirtPack very nice, especially from a roleplaying perspective.

Unluckily, almost all the old big quest mods (and several NPC mods) do add too much overpowered equipment to the game, that's why I play without them most of the time.
I am no expert upon NPC mods either so can't really help you with that either, but maybe this thread http://forums.pocket...ic,17153.0.html can help?

I'm using the following install.... together with BP WEidu... for the most balanced (no overpowering items, too hard baddies), immersive build (no Oprah Winfrey the Bard), that gives a new game feel (hey - this is a very different game).

Anybody got any to add or subtract? eg., the Sub races mod, or the BG2 improvements mod, or?....
Cheers, captain spider.

Improved Valhalla is included in BP. Do not install it. Also do not install Weimer's Ascension and choose the corresponding BP component instead.

In the old days, it overwrote area (and other) files instead of patching. If this remains true, the mod will still break things.
