I restored save game from; where you exit dungeon in order to start SOA and other mod quests. The start of SOA, there is no text on worldmap, it seems to appear only when updates are done for new locations. Any suggestions?

Worldmap got fubar'ed somewhere in the monster install.
Don't know what caused this, but I THINK the best workaround is...
(1) start a new game, save it, quit game
(2) copy the WORLDMAP.WMP that's in the override directory - or even better, the file that's in \BP-BGT_Worldmap\wmp (they are the same file, yes?) - into the folder of your saved game
(3) play as normal
Presuming the-above works, you'll avoid the extremely painful, manual method:
(1) quit the game, if needed
(2) copy the WORLDMAP.WMP that's in the override directory (or the file that's in \BP-BGT_Worldmap\wmp) - into the folder of the saved game you want to fix
(3) open Near Infinity, look for your saved game folder, RIGHT-CLICK on balgur.sav, Open in a New Window. Just keep this window open for now.
(3) Left-click on WORLDMAP.WMP in saved game folder, wait a bit, you'll see a super large map, with the location icons on the right.
(4) Now, you have to double-click on every location you think/know you visited, click on the Edit tab (top-left), look for an Attribute called Flags. Click on it.
(5) For each of these locations, click the checkboxes for Visible and/or Can be visited and/or Has been visited
(6) If in doubt that you visited a location, look at its Long or Short Name. Now look in the baldur.sav window. If the Name matches a location in baldur.sav, do step (5)
(7) Once finished, exit NI. It is smart enough to ask if you want to save the changes.
I presume no one ever wrote these instructions because they were a pain to write! Even more that actually doing them. And that's saying a lot. Here's to hoping you never have to go thru this. Ever.

I just ran into this issue. To better describe the problem: some of the location icons has titles like "And what is I am? Are you too weak to take an honest opinion?"; or, "He sounds like a hero indeed."

Your map will hose if you try to use a saved game on a fresh installation unless the fresh installation is EXACTLY the same, step by step as your old installation that the game was saved from. Same applies if trying to upgrade to a newer version of a same mod (ie; my worldmap woofed in the same way when I installed again with the updated DS & NT otSC mods that just came out)

By starting a new game you're starting a new map; thus you can use WORLDMAP.WMP as I described.
Correcting the map in an existing game means taking a fresh map and editing it with the locations you've visited. This works. Yacomo first described this procedure, and I and others have suffered thru it.
Thanks for the warning, though.

how/where do you use the -Xmx argument?
never mind figured it out, had to go out to the command prompt to do it.
Just copy the Near Infinity.bat file from the BP-BGT_Worldmap\Near Infinity Patch directory to your main SoA directory with the Ni.jar in it and you're off and running,,, That's why it's there.

I'll have to look for that, I'm using Tutu if that makes any difference, one other bug, everywhere is 'destination unreachable' how do I undo that and make them 'reachable' ?
I just downloaded WM v6.4 from the Wizard's server and installed it on my BG1Tutuv4 + Bonehill install, started a new game and I'm able to travel between areas with no issues.

Follow the instructions I gave above. You will not have to start a new game.I'll have to look for that, I'm using Tutu if that makes any difference, one other bug, everywhere is 'destination unreachable' how do I undo that and make them 'reachable' ?
