I know many have asked about what happens when Aril steals Tash from you after the Underdark. I have read about the movie and then going to the cave to find them. But what movie? I left the Underdark and lost Tash four game days ago, have slept several times, and still no movie appears. Without the movie I know that they are not found in the cave - I have been there to check, slept outside, killed the revenge spiders who showed up, but still n movie, no Tash. Can the movie sequence be forced somehow? Do I need to do something else? Otherwise, I have lost Tash and will have to go to TOB without her. Shame!

Yes it had the door, and I found the bow as treasure inside (that's the one isn't it?). My thought is that perhaps there is a conflict with Wes Weimer's cutting of the movie clips. Perhaps Tash's movie doesn't show because of this.
I have not moved to Chapter 7 yet, so can still hope she will reappear. Otherwise, I have lost a decent sorceror and my mage skills are seriously depleted now. If I'ld known, I would have chosen a more reliable NPC.

If you were romancing someone else you might not get the movie,because after you rescue her she says I love you,so if she's not your love life she won't say it.....

Is there some way (e.g. Shadowkeeper, CLUA, etc) to force the Forest of Tethir to appear on the world map? I got a little impatient with the Arilis thing

The forest is automatically on the map if you exit the Underdark.
Note that if you have Ease of Use (Faster Chapter 1&2 Cut-Scenes & Dreams) installed that you will not get the dream.
If you have this & uninstall it that might take care of the problem.

Oh no, I meant is there some way to get the Forest of Tethir to appear before doing that Underdark stuff, cuz I'm kinda lazy to get all the way to Ch. 6 after playing this game so often.

The only way I know is via the Tortured Souls mod. Note that this is not a WeiDu mod so you may need to reinstall BGII to get it to work. Anyhow among other things it makes Coran a joinable PC and puts that area on the map as part of the quest to get him.
The only other way I can think of would be to use the CLUA movetoarea command.
