Can you make one "normal" SoA Buckler +1 available in the, er, "buckler shop"? :)

The Buckler +1 is used in Weimer's Item Upgrade mod to make the Holy Buckler of Amaunuator or some such, and your Buckler +1 does not work in the recipe.  Just a minor niggle...

This is sort of intentional, as people could purchase multiple Bucklers +1 within the shop while using my mod, and potentially create multiple Bucklers of Amaunator which was not the plan. The Holy Buckler of Amaunator should remain a unique item, and the original Buckler +1 can already be found on the first floor of Mae'Var's Guild in the Docks area, so I don't see a need to make my bucklers compliant with the upgrade mod...

there's only one Amaunator symbol though...
Every spelling error above is not my fault, and I should not be counted liable for such.

Ah, I thought that any of it's pieces could be used for this upgrade! In this case, since the symbol itself is quite unique, I'll make the necessary changes and my Buckler +1 will be usable for this upgrade as well :)

BTW, I'm thinking about porting the Lyre of Progression from IWD1 to my rogue store. Do you think it would be too powerful for an item that can be acquired at such low levels ? It would cost a pretty penny though, similarly to the powerful items in Ribald's Mart. BTW, this item is carried in the shield slot but offers no AC bonuses. Item stats follow:

Lyre of Progression

The Lyre of Progression was created by the bard Sedini Paletto.  Sedini was a teacher of young aspiring bards during difficult times.  This instrument, held close at all times, helped Sedini fight off those who would attack him or his students.  When Sedini grew old, he passed it on to his best student, Galwen Alaman.  Galwen continued teaching for a few years before setting out into the wilderness on a life of adventure.  It is believed that he lost the lyre when he accidentally dropped it in a marsh.

STATISTICS:

Held under the left arm, this instrument allows a bard to memorize two extra second level spells and an extra third level spell.

Only Usable By:
 Bard

not overpowered at all since it would prevent two handed and dual weilding.

Heh heh, I was going all over trying to find a Buckler +1--by the time I realized the only one that would work was found in Mae'Var's quest, I didn't feel like going through that again (I usually only do that when I'm playing a thief, and this time 'round it was my dwarf barbarian and Mazzy).

Of course now that I've got my barbarian (improved Azuredge) and Mazzy (Holy Buckler of Amaunator) both set up with Negative Plane Protection, I've more or less abandoned that game (along with my solo Inquisitor and my solo Swashbuckler games) to start over again. :)

I dont know if this has been brought up before, but Ill try anyway. From my understanding of Bucklers they were designed to wear on the forearm held on by two straps leaving the off hand still usable for a dagger or a bow string because of their compact size. In other words dual wielding should be possible as long as the off hand carried no bigger than a dagger. Although I dont know if this is doable in the infinity engine. Has this ever been brought up?

Yes, it has been discussed before, and in D&D3.5 it's entirely possible to wield a buckler and a bow and/or two handed weapon. You character would suffer an attack roll penalty though.

But sadly, it's beside the point, as the shield slot (and all other inventory slots for that matter) are fully hardcoded in BG2's version of the IE so it is not possible to change the way it works.
