l am trying to install BGT but fail to do so at step 2.a

1. Extract BGT094b-Install.rar, select your BGII install directory, then press Install

2. Run Setup-BGT-Prep.exe in your BGII install directory (note ?Prep.exe)

a. When prompted for Baldur?s Gate I installation, type in the appropriate path followed by Ctrl-Z, then press Enter (the installation checks for the file BGMain2.exe in the installation directory that you typed)
b. If Never Ending Journey Part I and/or II is installed, install will backup the override directory

c. Installation automatically runs Setup-BGT-Main.exe ? select [Y] when prompted

d. Press Enter to complete installation when prompted, then wait patiently while the installation is completed

3. Play Baldur?s Gate II ? the Tutorial button in Shadows of Amn will be replaced by Baldur?s Gate I (starting a new game is recommended)

4. You may uninstall Baldur?s Gate I and Tales of the Sword Coast if desired ? if you think you need a re-install, do NOT complete this step

My default installation directory is F:\Black Isle\Baldur's Gate followed by ^Z and it says:

1 file copied.
Error syntax. ( or something like it)
Stage 1 beginning...(no nothing begins at all actually here)
[weidu.exe] Weidu version 132
Unknown argument: [Isle\Baldur's]

General input/output and so on is all its asking for.

Whats wrong or MUST l install on C:\program Files\Black Isle\Baldur's Gate?

You are using old wersion which had many problems with installation. I advice you to download teh newest BGT-Weidu 1.00 it is much easier to install as the other weidued mods are.

Was 'Baldur's Gate Trilogy v1.1.2 (BG2)' something you downloaded for a bit of fun?
