I am trying to figure out a way of resizing the JPG files from ToEE so that I can use some of them in BG2. When you connect the area blocks together, the final picture is way too small to work with the BG2 engine creatures. Resizing it just makes the graphics fuzzy. Is there another way to resize these files? In addition, is there a better way of creating the area map? Right now I open a large area in Paint and copy-and-paste each JPG into their correct position. I have tried to use the ToEE World Builder but so far that tool doesn't make much sense to me.

That works for me. I just discovered that I was in the wrong directory . I tried with another set of JPG files and now I have the moathouse. No doors on their maps though, :(. Now to figure out PoR and Arcanum while I wait.

PoR (Pools of Radiance), the second verson (Ruins of Myth Drannor).

Do you mean the Firewine dungeon/Basement of Mistmoor Manor? There is a prisoner standing next to it in the game.

PoR:RoMD.... the very worst RPG I've ever played but I think you've just solved me a problem. I need a good dwarven hall and I now think I know where it's coming from.... :D

Yovaneth have you been able to extract the areas from PoR? If so could you share with Sir BillyBob or I how to do it? I have been trying for a week to figure it out with no luck.

I'd imagine the old fashioned way. Has anyone found a mod community for it at all?

how come you always look so damn cool in every photo I see you in?!?

Speaking of modding, I listened to IER 3 yesterday, so you can have another quote for your signature: how come you sound so damn cool, as well as look it? It's unfair. Seriously.

Heh - I haven't even looked at the problem yet. I have to reinstall RoMD when I get home tonight. At least, I don't remember the CDs having a close encounter with the wastebin but I can't guarantee it until I've looked on the shelf.....

On a similar subject, does anyone happen to know if it's possible to extract areas from Lionheart? Several areas in that game are absolutely perfect for my needs...

Sorry, guys... But I can't share that with you because that work is tooooooo far from the completion. You see just a very very small preview.... There're some real difficulties with that stuff.... B)

Bastard! Tormenting us like that! :) Looks great. Yeah, I guess the screen capture method is what has to be done. The problem is "you have to play the game!". A fate worse than death.

PoR has a community that makes mods for it. There seems to be one for Arcanum also. Neither has anyway of extracting the bitmaps cleanly. Though Hlid will have that solved for us soon I hope. I haven't really had time to play any of these but I know Arcanum has a tree village (great idea for an elven community) so I guess I will have make the attempt at both games to grab the maps.

I have extracted 3 or 4 area's from Lionheart using the multiple screenshot method.

For anyone familiar with the game, the gate district of Barcelona took 46 screenshots which then had to have the GUI removed from them and put together like a jigsaw in photoshop.

I have yet to complete Lionheart so I am only at Toulouse and the Nostradamus caves. If anyone has a savegame from later on in the game I would appreciate it just to have access to the area's.

In Lionheart, there's actually a button you can press which removes most of the GUI. IIRC it's F2, but I could be wrong.

The maps posted look great! Are you willing to share the caverns map? I am still hoping to use these maps in Classic Adventures from Pool of Radiance, Ruins of Myth Drannor. Silverspear Armory, Hall of Armathors, The Pool Cavern, Glim Garden and Stillwater. If anyone has extracted them successfully it would sure help out Sir BillyBob and I.
