[King Diamond]

As far as many people around are asking about translation of the big mods I think it's time to make them multilingual finally.

To make a translation to another language it's necessary to download the corresponding package, to translate every single string in every .TRA file (strictly preserving strings numbers like @1 and filenames) and to post the result somewhere, so I'd be able to get it and incorporate into the mod.

The d'Oghmatiques (french team of translators) are working since many months on CTB. It is in progress (permission asked to C. Bisson before it was included in BP)

Salut Ashramyr,

Yeah I'm still alive ! About french translations, we're still on BP, SoS and TS. Around 1000 / 8000 strings are translated : we're proofreading these strings and besides, maybe we're going to use the SirLancelot's method to integrate translations on BP.
I made an analysis of strings of TS and SoS with a test in game.

I'll take over the TDD translation in French, starting from the TLK translation I made. After a talk with Sir Lancelot, I'm confident there is a way to avoid a huge copy-paste task.

It appears BPv177 will have a few translations. Can't wait to learn all of the Wand of Orcus strings in multiple languages.

Perhaps the other translations will be done by the next version.

Is there some changes in tra files between BPv177 and BPv176 ?
I can't check its myself because it's impossible to extract the .rar (something's corrupt...)

Hello Teutomatos,

French translators for BP are independant from La couronne de cuivre forum. We're working by e-mails and this translation is still in progress. All the strings about Tactics, Ascension and those of the original game have been replaced in .tra files, after a huge proofreading and an adaptation for a female PC.

@10 = ~Well,I'll be a monkey's uncle...~ An expression of surprise about something. The person was really taken unawares.
@18 = ~Bootstrap me croney, ye gutter scum?~

@21 = ~Hold still now...~ Don't fight or struggle, it'll make killing you a lot easier on everyone,,,
@4 = ~Blimey! I'm heading for Baldur Jones' Lockbox!~ Crap!! Our ship is sinking and we're going to drown.

@3 = ~Hissss--sneaky, for cattle...~ (Bodhi's speaking) A sarcastic interpretation of a party's stealth ability. Bodhi is commenting on how a herd of cattle could be quieter.
