couldnt possibly see imoen just following your alignment because but it could be workable. She's definitly not imune to the desires of her bhaalspawness (new word) as TOB shows (she comments on having desires to kill you). Maybe she could confront you after spellhold and throughout the underdark about how she still wants to do the right thing, but dosn't feel any different anymore. Your answers could influence whether she trys to stick to the moral path or decides its no longer worth it. I could see some other npcs having intresting things to say about this, either identifying, thinking shes insane for even questioning to do the right thing, or, questioning what this consince thing is. (Korgan most comes to mind for the last one, he chose his path, Edwin and Viconia were raised by diferent standards which we consider evil)

Could we have perhaps something whereby after you rescue Imoen and start having talks about the effect of the taint, whereby if you keep pushing for the extreme good options, she begins to resent strictness and rigidity of the "good" concerns and consequently, as they say, turns to the dark side(embrace the taint somewhat, not a whole heareted evil mind you, not yet anyway).
Conversely, if you push the dark path line, she is revolted by that side of things and perhaps becomes a little less mischevious, a little more serious, a little more lawful perhaps.

I couldn't see Imoen turning evil because someone was being a holier-than-thou pain in the ass. Usually she just deflects anything like that by teasing the person. Think about it, you would have to be more of a pain in the ass than ANOMEN. If it got really out of hand (think "sinners in the hands of an angry god" style criticism of her every action) for too long, I really think she would just leave or demand that person leave. She certainly wouldn't change alignment.
Man's unfailing capacity to believe what he prefers to be true rather than what the evidence shows to be likely and possible has always astounded me. We long for a caring Universe which will save us from our childish mistakes, and in the face of mountains of evidence to the contrary we will pin all our hopes on the slimmest of doubts. God has not been proven not to exist, therefore he must exist.
