Wonderful game, but really, I'm not surprised it (and its successor, Wizardry

"The righteous need not cower before the drumbeat of human progress. Though the song of yesterday fades into the challenge of tomorrow, God still watches and judges us. Evil lurks in the datalinks as it lurked in the streets of yesterday, but it was never the streets that were evil." - Sister Miriam Godwinson, Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri

I'm talking about the character creation system being poor - it doesn't offer much options like Talents (AD&D equivalent of Perks/Feats) for example. Also, since they changed character creation and developement they could come up with something more plausible and elastic than switching classes.
I'm not talking about creating a new character other than Nameless One, of course.

I said, talents.BG2 doesn't allow feats either. Feats didn't exist until 3e D&D (which didn't even exist in 2000, when PS:T was published).

Also, BG2 character development sucked too.

Frankly, after playing games like Fallout or ADOM, I was able to finish BG2 only because I used Shadowkeeper to add some interesting abilities to characters.
Also, I hated how the game was NPC-centred and no-one complimented my characters looks, while complimented Jaheira or Viconia.
(and btw I was also not impressed with PS:T's graphic issues, first an eyestrain but then again, its from an earlier generation. I found the character diversity on that one though to be really worth my while, not enough of that badass talk elsewhere in the multiverse cutter, and you know it.)

Glad to see Arcanum's listed there, not many people play it. I voted for Arcanum because we are voting for the vanilla games, and the the main quest for Arcanum had much more depth and was a lot longer than that of Morrowind.

What?! Oblivion was, like a second coming of Christ, it got the best scores. Don't diss Oblivion, it has Immershun and all.Oblivion had incredible graphics, but frankly I thought it wasn't a very good game.
It has something to do with the fact that unlike Bioware, Troika cared about providing avatars of characters that actually looked like they lived in the gaming world.Glad to see Arcanum's listed there, not many people play it. Talk about bad graphics! Always wanted to play Arcanum. Could never get over the fact that the characters looked like bowling pins. I keep asking *everywhere* if someone did a mod importing BG avatars into it, and all I get is a resounding silence. Damn.
In what way? I never heard about anyone else finding Arcanum impossible to play in its vanilla state.A good game, by all accounts, but impossible to play in its vanilla state.

I'm a BG2 girl (and in my mind, SoA & ToB really can't be separated, somehow). Always have been, and always will be, it has a very special place in my heart
