Can someone tell me if Gate Keeper/Sword Keeper or Shadow Keeper is compatible with BGT-WeiDU and all the other major mods installed? If so, which version should I use? Thanks.

I remember it didn't work for BP-BGT-NEJ. Not sure about BGT weidu but I remember DLTCEP had a ton of issues with the BP-BGT-NEJ but works fine with BGT-weidu+mods so those tools might work also. I just use Near Infinity to hack chars and save games. You can do a lot more with it.

From my knowledge shadowkeeper should totally work with BGT...however if u mod also some BP components into that shadowkeeper might have problems with that...just too many resources to read.

The problem was with the way BP auto-biffed the files. If you did a manual install (just for the fun of it :)), ShadowKeeper could see all the files.

Sorry, I do not know the answer to this question either. If it is a BIFFing issue, then it could cause problems (if the problem is about duplicate resources and such).

Well, I've downloaded Shadow Keeper, Near Infinity, and Infinity Engine Save Game Editor... hopefully one of these will work. Shall post again to report how it goes.

NI. Trash the others. NI is also much more powerful and sometimes more difficult to use, but it is the best of the three hands-down. DLTCEP is the other top pick but probably overkill for someone just playing the game. It is a modder's tool.

Hehe-DLTCEP-waiting for enhancement of this...new worldmap requires that.
However this tool is very intuitive...and I think even gamers could use that with great efficience.

I thought even with a manual install shadowkeeper comes out with utter gibberish especially with inventory items? could be wrong but another reason not to use it

Don't use Gate Keeper. GK is known to trash BG1 save games don't know if woulfd do the same with BGT, but anyway best left alone.

Shadowkeeper don't touch saves until u want to do something with them...don't worry.
GK won't work with BGT...the same reason why SK won't work with BG1 :)

As for gibberish in the inventory items, this will always be there for some files. Many items that are not droppable (items used by creatures - like claws or fangs) sometimes don't have a blank item name and description. Instead the point to some text string in the game that may or may not make sense for the item. For example, looking through the books, many have "Lium's Journal of Malevolent Magicks" as their name if unidentified. Since these are the normal, non-magical books, they are automatically identified in the game anyway. So a player never sees this weird name for the "Books of the Dales" or any other book.

ShadowKeeper will show this. If you are seeing items that you know should be correct but aren't, maybe your dialog.tlk file got hosed during install.

No matter the issue, ShadowKeeper is fine for a basic SoA or BG1 game. Advance yourself to NI if you plan to start adding other mods to your game. In the long run, this will help you and it really is easy to use.
