BGT Weidu bug

First of all, thanks for a great mod. After assesing both BGT and BGTutu i went for BGT as i prefer the way you've done things.
The only thing that is kind of bothering me is that i have a strange bug: All npc and other sounds, not music though, are mixed up. Ie. Khalid sounds like jaheira, Imoen like GArric and sometimes MInsc (!), Jaheira like Shar Teel and some other npcs other times. Dunno what i've done wrong, as the installation went fine i think even though i by mistake had a bg1 cd in the drive. I installed BG1+TotSC+patch, and i installed Bg2+ToB-Patch and then started the installation as described. I've been downloading some editors and poking around in the files, and according to the Dragonlance TC editor thingamabob the string references to the sounds are way off like, atleast for BG1. The BG2 content seems okay.. what do you think this is about?
Should i uninstall, then reinstall BGT?
Hope you can help!

I think it is just your savegame. Does the same thing happen if you start a new game?Hey!

If not, you might need to start a new game if you don't want to either (i) manually correct the soundsets in your .GAM file of your savegame, (ii) cope with your party NPCs saying funny things.

I think i might try to unistall BGT and my whole BG2 and reinstall the whole shebang and continue my old savgame. If it's still messed up i'll start a new game, and if it's still messed up.. well then i dont know...

Hmm.. i don't know, I don't think it's my savegame, but it might be. How would i best correct the soundsets in my .gam file? There are many sounds that are off, like the chapter texts (they sometimes sound like the ogre sounds....)

ahhh yes. ze problem zat is identical vit ze problem i had, ja. i am afraid zat zere is a high probability you vill have to reinstall ze game. but i zink zis is a mod related problem. i got it vit ze none veidu BD or ze bg1npc or ze UB. are you sure zat you have not installed any mods perchance, nein? none of ze zings you mentioned should mess up ze sounds, yes. but maybe i am mistaken, ja. ve germans tend to be quite fallable.

Well, as long as my save can be used I don't mind installing again THAT much. I have installed BG1NPC Weidu for BGT, perhaps that is the thing that messes up my game? Since it's a weidu mod, for BGT weidu and all, I thought it would be safe to install it.. I do like the banters and whatnot it adds, makes Khalid and Jaheira for example seem more real, but if it is whats causing the problem i guess it has to go...

i know i am being ze schweinhund for ze double posting, but: you vill have to vait for a fully compatible version of bg1npc. and i have to say at zis point zat it is not a tweak but a real mod vit ze non-original bg content.
edit: i razer edited last post zan double post...

Next time please, let us know WHAT you've installed besides the CORE BGT-Weidu ;-) You didn't specify it in your fist post,

So what would the correct installation order be..?
I installed BGT first, then i installed BG1NPC... should it have been the other way around?

I installed BG1 (custom, with all boxes checked)
I installed TotSC (custom, with all boxes checked)
I patched TotSC
I installed BG2 (full install)
I installed ToB (full install)
I patched ToB
Thein i installed BGT Weidu, note that i had BG1 cd1 in my drive, but it didnt give me any exception errors, after that was done i tried the mod, found that it worked, and then I installed BG1NPC weidu. I'm not sure but i think i started to get the odd behaviour after installing BG1NPC, I'm not sure why i didn't conclude myself that BG1NPC was the problem... However, when i get home i plan to uninstall BG1NPC and check what that does. If it fixes the problem, grand.. otherwise i guess i have to unistall BGT and BG2 and reinstall everything...

I uninstalled everything yesterday and reinstalled BG2, ToB, the patch and BGT ofcourse. Turns out i had an older version of both BGT Weidu (beta v3) and BG1NPC (beta v9). This time I didn't install BG1NPC, as I did not want to risk breaking my game again. I hope the soundbug is looked into.
The only bad part of this is that i had to start a new game as apparently the older v3 savegames are not compatible with v4. Oh well, I was only halfway through the nashkel mines, and my current party is much better. Missile weapons are gold in BG1 as they can take down many tough melee foes before they get to dish out anything. Heh, Imoen killed the first assasin in FAI with a single arrow, critical hit Lucky shot.
