Well, I had a fresh install of SoA and ToB with patches to the default directory and a patched verison of BG1 and ToSC at C:\baldur. The Prep setup worked right but the Core components refused to install.

What version of BG1:TotSC do you have? and exact Language? The problem is with ANDRIS.DLG. Somewhere there is the symbol <, which shouldn't be there. Can others check for such an error in their BG1:TotSC install, and if so, what language and version/type of BG1:TotSC do you have?

I'm reinstalling BG1 right now to C:\baldur path. TotSC would be whichever version's on the CD and I'll update it with the English patch 14315
Oh I see what the problem probably was. Wrong patch. I'll install the English TOSC patch and see what happens
