For all of these bugs I have retested them on a clean BG install with ONLY BGT-weidu.

All of the following issues have been Confirmed on a clean install of BGT-weidu only

Safana - AR9500 (Lighthouse area)
When Safana joins the party a journal entry gets added to your quest journal called 10297. This journal entry is blank aside from the title "10297"

Ardrouine - AR9500
The woman that gives the Save my child in the lighthouse from Worgs quest. After completing the quest she just stays there and won't talk to you anymore. It might make more sense if she walked away and despawned. Not sure what the action in original BG1 is.

3 Fishermen - AR8300 (Ankeg Farm)
Choose option 2 when talking to them "It's not worth my time, but with a little extra gold.."
Then choose option 1 to accept the quest. No quest journal entry is added.
Getting the bowl from the 3 fishermen created a journal entry in the Done Quests section. Shouldn't it just get added to the normal quest journal since the quest isn't over yet?
Giving the bowl back Tenya adds another Done Quests entry. So upon completing this quest you will have 2 entrys. Not sure if that is desired or not.

Farmer Brun's son - AR8300
Completing the quest to find the dead boy in the Ankeg pit produced a second journal entry within the normal quest journal. It should have been put in the "Done Quests" journal. The original quest entry was not removed either.

AR7900(Baldurs gate bridge)
The exit north of Tenyas house that leads to the zombie farm area no longer works. You can only get there via the city side of the river. Was this created intentionally? I can understand how the maps would lineup.

Mutamin - AR9400 (Basilisk Land)
This is the gnome guy that attacks you. He has one greater basilisk with him and one lesser basilisk. The Lesser basilisk is hostile(red) as soon as you approach it, the greater basilsik is neutral(blue) and doesn't attack you until you have begun fighting with Mutamin.

Shar-Teel - AR9400
If you make Shar-Teel explode while fighting her the raise dead will fail and shes gone forever

CTD - AR9400
I attempted to exit AR9400 from the left side once and crashed to desktop before it even loaded the world map. May just be some freak occurance but I feel its worth documenting. I also experienced a bit of lag in this area.

Gandolar Lightfoot - AR9900 (Gullykin)
Speak to Gandolar about clearing out the firewine ruins. Choose the first option "Have you no brave halflings up to the task? It cannot be so."
After his response you can choose this option and again the same response will appear. You can keep clicking this response and it will continue to loop.

Officer Vai - AR6704 (Jovial Juggler)
You can sell Wyvern heads (MISC52) to Officer Vai

Nashkel - AR3700
The Green marker overtop the windmill, with mods installed it displayed some wierd string. With just BGT it doesnt display any string.

Jovial Juggler - AT6704
That issue with greyed out items in the Jovial Juggler. I went to the barkeep with just BGT installed and he didnt even sell items. I could only choose to rest or drink. Maybe the greyed out store is related to another mod?

Gandolar Lightfoot - AR9900 (Gullykin)
When you speak to him the second time and he asks you clear out the firewine ruins the quest journal entry is added immediatly before you get a chance to respond. In normal BGT it is added after you accept the quest.
Does Ntotsc or Bg1npc mess with him that could cause this?

Ardrouine: she should tank you and give you 300 XP.

Office Vai: in original BG she accept Wyvern heads for 1000 gp.

Jovial Juggler: as far as i remember the bartender never sold items .... he should only let you sleep or drink.

[Her final dialogue says 'I'll coax him down once you've left', so she can't just walk away - it would have to e a timed exit; however, this is in original BG1

I don't know about BETA 4 but the journal entry is fine in BETA 5, just remember that sometimes the status box shows the updated journal entry BEFORE the NPC says their next line, so you might not know that a journal entry was added

After you return the son, the journal entry states there is something else you could do...and when you do that, all the unsolved journals for that quest should disappear - if that doesn't happen in BETA 4, it will in BETA 5

not sure about this one, nothing was changed, but I guess it is better

Mutamin - AR9400 (Basilisk Land)

OK, Shar-Teel won't die during the duel anymore

I can't reproduce the lag or the CTD

it's a dialogue overlap - two different sources reference the same state that has a custom added journal by me; so I've changed the first response so that no overlap occurs

Fresh batch of bugs for you. I have not confirmed these on a standalone BGT install.

Battle Music - AR8601(Cloakwood mines 1st floor)
Once the battle music starts playing it does not stop after the fight ends. Could of been messed up by DSOTSC or NTOTSC

Officer Vai - Jovial Juggler
In chapter 5 when you talk to officer Vai she leaves the Jovial juggler because her work there is done and you get a rep point. Her guards stay in the Jovial Juggler though, seems like they would leave too.

Rogues - Baldurs gate rogue guild houses
The rogues that ask you for your password. Once you answer it once you don't have to answer it again, However these rogues still follow you around when you enter the rooms they are in, until you talk to them once, and they say nothing.

Silence - AR7809 (one of the shops in Baldurs gate East)
She sells an item called "Selune's Laurel of Favor", which is only usable by Sime. Sime is an npc from one of the mods right? I forget which one. Whichever mod this is might wanna check this shop.

Marek - AR7400 Baldurs Gate Northeast
In the southern part of the area, where you are first threatened by Marek it adds a strange journal entry:
Investigate Duke Eltan's healer, Rashad.

Kolvar is suspicious as to why Rashad, Eltan's
priest, hasn't healed the Grand Duke yet.


Messed up Commoner sprites - STATIC_PEASANT_WOMAN_MATTE - 16658 / FTOWBASN.Cre
There are a couple commers in the city of Baldurs gate that look really messed up. Their sprites are discolored and strange looking. It is the female sprite that is sitting down.
I remember this bug from the Original BG1. I believe it is something that was never fixed.
AR8207(second floor of one of the bars in Baldurs gate SW) - 2 commoners sitting at the table
AR8100(BG south) - Commoner sitting on the dock at the lower left corner of the zone.
AR8009(Bar in BG SE) - 4 Commoners sitting at different tables.
AR8010(2nd floor on 8009) - 1 commoner sitting at table.

Vay-va AR7234(Low Lantern 2nd floor)
Vay-va and Deserta attack you if you say you want to see Entropy. Vay-va is female but when she casts spells she chants in a male voice.

Quest mixup - AR7609(Umberlee temple in Baldurs Gate south)
If you do the quest for Tenya outside of baldurs gate then come to the temple and ask for her, she will give you the Child's body before you even accept or know that the child's quest exists. It also adds this journal entry:
Rescue Tremain's son.

I have retrieved the child's body from the
Umberlee temple. It was a stroke of luck that
Tenya was there, though I feel no better about
being used before.

Also, if you kill Jalanda Mistmyr during the Lothander quest she will have a Child's body on her person. So it is possible to get 2 bodies.

Emissary Tar - AR7613(Iron Throne 3rd floor)
When you meet Emissary Tar here her name is "Body of Emissary Tar".

Lothander - AR7700(BG center)
Lothander walks really fast for some reason.

Lothander Quest - AR7609(Umberlee temple in Baldurs Gate south)
Talk to Jalanda Mistmyr about removing Lothanders geas and accept the quest to find the book. If you speak to her again the dialogue will start over as if she never asked you before.

If you get the book and use it or lose it somehow her dialogue will reset and the quest will be unfinishable.

Runaway Euric Quest Broken - AR7715
Speak to nadine in this house and she will give you an amulet and ask you to locate her son. He can be found in a bar in South baldurs gate.
Speak to him and he will take the amulet and say hes not coming back home. Nadine will not talk to you from here and the quest becomes unfinishable. The journal entry remains in the incomplete quests section.

Helm and Cloak - AR7216
When the arrogant group of adventureres come in and threaten you, give them the first response.
The barkeeper and commoners will turn hostile when you begin to fight them.

Misplaced Peasent - AR7200 (BG NE)
The Peasent sitting at approx 3920, 2584 is in the wrong spot. He has a sitting graphic and he is a little south of the bench he should be on.

Candlekeep crypts final area - AR6560
When you encounter Prat and his crew they attack. If arkanis and/or deder are around they will turn hostile. You can get them into this area by entering it as they walk to you. You can even get them outside candlekeep! Maybe a dialogue should be added when you get to the end of crypts that causes them to walk away and despawn.

Sarevoks Coronation - AR7208
After killing all of the dopplegangers everyone just stood around and didnt say anything. I could not speak to Belt and continue on with the game from this point. This only happened once, I reloaded and tried again everything ran smoothly.

Bill the Guard - AR7300 (BG North)
Even after the coronation is over Bill still asks you for invitations outside of the Duchal Palace. The Flaming fist mercenaries inside the Duchal Palace also ask for invitations after the coronation event and threaten you if you don't have them. One of the mercenaries attacked me for it and then Belt and Liia started attacking him. Pretty funny

Kill Cyrdemac Quest - AR7221(Top floor of 3 old kegs)
This the quest where you are hired by the noble woman to kill Cyrdemac in the Elfsong tavern. Kill him and then return to her. Choose the option to blackmail her and start receiving payments weekly. Eventually when you come back a thug will be there to kill you named Tor Lobo. He says she left town so I assume killing him ends this quest. Killing him did not produce any journal entries, this quest is stuck in my quest journal.

Ogre - AR7223(Underground City, Final Area)
Gorf, the ogre with the Iron Throne group that you have to kill before fighting Sarevok starts off hostile while all the others are neutral.

Denkod - AR7253(Thieves guild)
This is the rogue that tells you sarevok ran into the thieves maze. After killing Sarevok he still continues to say this.

Ice Island - Forget the AR#
All of the NPCs on shandalars frozen Island that you talk to first start out hostile.

Werewolf island
After returning the cloak to Delainy in the town on werewolf island the quest journal entry for it did not go away.

ARU004(Mendas House)
When fighting mendas(Loup Garou) he was immune to all of my weapons, even the Baldurans sword and the werebane dagger couldnt hurt him.

ARD002(durlag tower 1F)
Ike did not show up here, I talked to him just outside of the tower too. This could be a problem that comes from DSC, and/or NTOTSC.



Just gotta finish up a couple Ntotsc quests and download Ctb and its on to BG2. If I find any issues in SOA or TOB content should I just post them here or should I post them in the BP forum along with TDD, Sos etc.. bugs?

If it is classic BG2 content that deals with Imoen or importation of NPCs, then by all means to it here. This includes importation of Sharteel and those other NPCs that make an appearance in TDD, TS, etc. If there are other bugs, post them in BP.

have not played any other mod than dsotsc before coming here and havent played BG2 in years. Not too sure on everything thats original content and whats mod content. Also didnt use any of the npcs, just joined most of them and kicked them so they would show up later. I roll with self made chars.

Will try to be as consistent as possible.

This one, at least, happens in the original game. Some of the others ring bells, but that could be from anything...
Edit: Actually, it's possible that I was using DSotSC when this came up. It's been years so I don't remember for certain. Either way, it's not a BGT bug (per se).

Sry...the barkeeper always go hostile in that respond...but NEVER attack him or u will lose reputation...others don't go hostile...more-one of the bands is an ally there :) That situation is normal even in vanilla BG1...I just love it :)

It's probably a stray Shout() command. I still haven't had time to look at the reported bugs yet.

I have the same problem with my new fights in the city. Several people are claiming that the peasants go red if you fight nearby. I don't remember this happening in BGT-BP so perhaps some peasants respond to the Shout command when they shouldn't? I do remember the innkeeper doing this in the original game. That may be the first place to check.

Fair enough. Peasants will definitely hear Shout commands, otherwise they wouldn't run away. But this entails changing the fundamental script (I think WDRUNSGT etc.) which is probably not a good idea. It is probably better for mods to use a new SHOUT row number, like Shout(242) and Heard([ANYONE],242), so you don't get this happening.

Battle Music - AR8601(Cloakwood mines 1st floor)
Once the battle music starts playing it does not stop after the fight ends. Could of been messed up by DSOTSC or NTOTSC

Do you use Alt-Tab and/or autosave often? Sometimes, if you pause the game right at the end of a fight, then Alt-Tab out, or save the game, the battle music just keeps playing until you change master areas. It's a little engine bug.

Officer Vai - Jovial Juggler
In chapter 5 when you talk to officer Vai she leaves the Jovial juggler because her work there is done and you get a rep point. Her guards stay in the Jovial Juggler though, seems like they would leave too.

Fixed.

Rogues - Baldurs gate rogue guild houses
The rogues that ask you for your password. Once you answer it once you don't have to answer it again, However these rogues still follow you around when you enter the rooms they are in, until you talk to them once, and they say nothing.

Fixed.

Silence - AR7809 (one of the shops in Baldurs gate East)
She sells an item called "Selune's Laurel of Favor", which is only usable by Sime. Sime is an npc from one of the mods right? I forget which one. Whichever mod this is might wanna check this shop.

Marek - AR7400 Baldurs Gate Northeast
In the southern part of the area, where you are first threatened by Marek it adds a strange journal entry:
Investigate Duke Eltan's healer, Rashad.

Kolvar is suspicious as to why Rashad, Eltan's priest, hasn't healed the Grand Duke yet.

Messed up Commoner sprites - STATIC_PEASANT_WOMAN_MATTE - 16658 / FTOWBASN.Cre
There are a couple commers in the city of Baldurs gate that look really messed up. Their sprites are discolored and strange looking. It is the female sprite that is sitting down.
I remember this bug from the Original BG1. I believe it is something that was never fixed.

I could change the STATIC_PEASANT_WOMAN_MATTE anim to STATIC_PEASANT_WOMAN_CHAIR, but then they wouldn't look like that they are sitting at a table, because you can see their torsos. Not much I can do, unfortunately.

Vay-va AR7234(Low Lantern 2nd floor)
Vay-va and Deserta attack you if you say you want to see Entropy. Vay-va is female but when she casts spells she chants in a male voice.

Yep, she had the incorrect gender assignment. Fixed.

Quest mixup - AR7609(Umberlee temple in Baldurs Gate south)
If you do the quest for Tenya outside of baldurs gate then come to the temple and ask for her, she will give you the Child's body before you even accept or know that the child's quest exists. It also adds this journal entry:
Rescue Tremain's son.

I have retrieved the child's body from the
Umberlee temple. It was a stroke of luck that
Tenya was there, though I feel no better about
being used before.

Also, if you kill Jalanda Mistmyr during the Lothander quest she will have a Child's body on her person. So it is possible to get 2 bodies.

Both fixed.

Emissary Tar - AR7613(Iron Throne 3rd floor)
When you meet Emissary Tar here her name is "Body of Emissary Tar".

Fixed.

Lothander - AR7700(BG center)
Lothander walks really fast for some reason.

Well, Lothander has a Boots of Speed!

Lothander Quest - AR7609(Umberlee temple in Baldurs Gate south)
Talk to Jalanda Mistmyr about removing Lothanders geas and accept the quest to find the book. If you speak to her again the dialogue will start over as if she never asked you before.

If you get the book and use it or lose it somehow her dialogue will reset and the quest will be unfinishable.

Fixed and fixed.

Runaway Euric Quest Broken - AR7715
Speak to nadine in this house and she will give you an amulet and ask you to locate her son. He can be found in a bar in South baldurs gate.
Speak to him and he will take the amulet and say hes not coming back home. Nadine will not talk to you from here and the quest becomes unfinishable. The journal entry remains in the incomplete quests section.

If the character you used to talk to Nadine is of a reaction HOSTILE, then Nadine will not talk to that person. Use someone who can generate a better reaction, such as someone with greater charisma. Not a bug.

Helm and Cloak - AR7216
When the arrogant group of adventureres come in and threaten you, give them the first response.
The barkeeper and commoners will turn hostile when you begin to fight them.

Checked this, and no Shout() command is issued, you must have hit a commoner at some stage. I tried this fight and the bartender and commoners did not go hostile.

Misplaced Peasent - AR7200 (BG NE)
The Peasent sitting at approx 3920, 2584 is in the wrong spot. He has a sitting graphic and he is a little south of the bench he should be on.

He looks perfect to me...maybe he got nudged somehow?

Candlekeep crypts final area - AR6560
When you encounter Prat and his crew they attack. If arkanis and/or deder are around they will turn hostile. You can get them into this area by entering it as they walk to you. You can even get them outside candlekeep! Maybe a dialogue should be added when you get to the end of crypts that causes them to walk away and despawn.

Fixed.

Sarevoks Coronation - AR7208
After killing all of the dopplegangers everyone just stood around and didnt say anything. I could not speak to Belt and continue on with the game from this point. This only happened once, I reloaded and tried again everything ran smoothly.

Did any dopplegangers run to the next floor, or outside?

Bill the Guard - AR7300 (BG North)
Even after the coronation is over Bill still asks you for invitations outside of the Duchal Palace. The Flaming fist mercenaries inside the Duchal Palace also ask for invitations after the coronation event and threaten you if you don't have them. One of the mercenaries attacked me for it and then Belt and Liia started attacking him. Pretty funny

Bill actually walks off the area when you give him the invitation...I don't know why he didn't EscapeArea(). The invitations inside the Duchal Palace fixed.

Kill Cyrdemac Quest - AR7221(Top floor of 3 old kegs)
This the quest where you are hired by the noble woman to kill Cyrdemac in the Elfsong tavern. Kill him and then return to her. Choose the option to blackmail her and start receiving payments weekly. Eventually when you come back a thug will be there to kill you named Tor Lobo. He says she left town so I assume killing him ends this quest. Killing him did not produce any journal entries, this quest is stuck in my quest journal.

Fixed.

Ogre - AR7223(Underground City, Final Area)
Gorf, the ogre with the Iron Throne group that you have to kill before fighting Sarevok starts off hostile while all the others are neutral.

Fixed.

This is the rogue that tells you sarevok ran into the thieves maze. After killing Sarevok he still continues to say this.

Ice Island - Forget the AR#
All of the NPCs on shandalars frozen Island that you talk to first start out hostile.

Fixed.

Werewolf island
After returning the cloak to Delainy in the town on werewolf island the quest journal entry for it did not go away.

I'm finding it difficult to trace this one. Are you able to tell me the text of the journal entry and how exactly you got there?

ARU004(Mendas House)
When fighting mendas(Loup Garou) he was immune to all of my weapons, even the Baldurans sword and the werebane dagger couldnt hurt him.

He is immune to non-cold iron weapons, whatever that means. However, with those two items you mentioned (DAGG09, SW1H18), I was able to kill the Loup Garou.

ARD002(durlag tower 1F)
Ike did not show up here, I talked to him just outside of the tower too. This could be a problem that comes from DSC, and/or NTOTSC.

I still can't reproduce this error, all times I tried. Did you talk to Ike twice just outside the keep? The first time you talk to him, he walks to the entrance, then you need to talk to him again.

Yes I did tab out often to add bugs to my text document. Didn't do it a lot in the mines though. The music thing happened on every floor.

I am very certain I did not attack any commoners. The bartender just and the commoner in the room just went hostile after I chose the first response to those guys when they came in. If I chose the second response the civilians dont go hostile.

Thats very possible which would explain the whole situation. Only problem is the exits are disabled so you cant go and follow them.

Unfortunatly I just did a reinstall and added CTB onto my BG monster install, so all the quest journal entries are hosed now.

The installation of BGT-WeiDU should use a method similar to the one used by TS and CtB for adding music, they check if there is enough space to add all the songs to SONGLIST.2DA and if so adds them in a dynamic way (they get correct rownumbers and areas are updated with those). TS and CtB does check if BGT-WeiDU is installed and if so skips adding new songs but with the current version of BGT-WeiDU it has to be installed after TS and CtB. As it is installing these mods, I don't know if only one is enough, and then installing BGT-WeiDU will make the game terminate at startup with the message "An Assertion failed in ChSound.cpp at line number 4905". (I edited my SONGLIST.2DA and MUSICLIS.2DA so I could run the game, and I did modify the installscript so it shouldn't add anything if there isn't room for all new music but I haven't tested it yet.)

Music in Cloakwood mines - not a DS/NT issue I can think of. Areas only get modified area scripts for more enemies and new items. The ARE files are left alone.

...unless you EXTEND_TOP when there is an OnCreation() block at the very top, but that doesn't seem to be an issue.

Actually, BETA 4 has it broken. ZETA already fixes this, so I overlooked it, sorry, and thanks.

Yep, a BETA 4 thing again. KD made numerous 'fixes' to the dialogues with the overhaul, which I am unaware of, so I can miss some of these things.

If you still have this savegame (if any), can you work what what the GLOBAL "Ike" is set to after Ike enters Durlag's Tower? Previous reports of this bug have found that the GLOBAL doesn't increment properly for some reason.
