All of these are made with Photoshop 7 and I've had a reference picture of somekind for every one of the portraits. These are from oldest to newest.
I thought about making a psionic/sorceress.
Large bmp portrait
Reference, Cate Blanchett
Extra large version for details etc
Then a thief, my oldest RPG character Gem.
Large bmp portrait
Reference, Claudia Black

I fell in love with this picture with Cate wearing a hat. I just HAD TO make a portrait of it!
Large bmp portrait
Reference, Cate Blanchett again :0

Yeah. More coming up, I'd say. If someone would want to use these portraits, say so, and I can add/mail/what ever all the bmp sizes.
Oh yes. Comments are love. Please give feedback, 'kay?

And, just out of curiosity, my dear, what *are* you wearing? - Tempest to me.

As I've made already a few portraits for example for BG1 & 2, I decided to post them here. I've made some for Sol Ek Sa, also, but I'll post here only the portraits which I've made on my own.

Very nice indeed. I'm particularly fond of the first one, very elegant. And as for the third one: what do you know - Jarlaxle has a sister! :-)

I have seen the first two before The third one is asking to be Hobb's Epiny... uhm, maybe because I just finished reading the Shaman's Crossing!
You have? Man, and I was so sure I hadn't posted them anywhere in the Spellhold studios forums before.
Well, thanks guys. Here's one more, I finished this just a moment a go. I've been playing with a thief for some time now and romancing Edwin (ooooh if you haven't tried Laufey's Edwin Romance Mod yet, go and download it NOW!), so I finally made an original portrait for her instead of using that same old picture of Claudia Black. Hmmm, see a pattern here? Two of my portraits so far are made after Cate, two after Claudia.
Anyways.

A few similar things the blue haired one shows this the best: it looks like the hair has been cut out and pasted on. this also shows on most of the background/forground edges too. a soften brush around the edges should clear those up anti-alias just does not do enough.
question is the first one supposed to have 2 different colored eyes? if so that is kind of cool.

good job on them!

Thank you for some nice feedback there. I'll keep those things in mind.
The first one, the psionic, is supposed to have one black and one grey eye, yes. I've been thinking if I should make the contrast between them bigger so it would be more obvious.

Sweety-sweety! That blue eyed. Totally non-human eyes, nice hair. Just one thing I think needs little correction: Elves don't have lobes of the ears, as I reckon. I'll probably use this boy, when my PC will not be female, may I?
Oh thank you! Of course you can use the boy ((oooh the images in my head for that phrase)). I'm planning on making his clothing a bit fancier/better/more interesting so that he would make a better PC portrait, so wait till then, okay?
My favorites are your thief pics.
Thank you, Plasmocat! Actually, the thiefs are my favourites too. Me loves da rogues. <3
