I just decided to register because I wanted to say how much I've been enjoying the Edwin romance.

I have posted regularly at a site largely dedicated to RPGs for the past number of years, and I recall one debate that occurred in the BG2 forum there....that concerning an Edwin romance.
I have to confess, I was sceptical at the time. I had a lot of trouble imagining how Edwin could have the depth and complexity for something like a romance.

But.. I have to say, you've convinced me. Your work in ... *cough*... fleshing out Edwin's character is truly amazing. He is at once entertaining and believable, and I love the way you employed his gender transformation as a vehicle through which to bring out the deeper character lurking within.

Just an awesome, awesome job!
I can't wait to see the flirt pack!

Thank you kindly, Dragon Wench! It is of course always great to hear somebody enjoyed the romance, and perhaps even more so if you were sceptical to start with. :)

I fall in love to Edwin soon, more soon that I knew about the Edwin Romance.. I can't say in words, HOW HAPPY YOU MADE ME!!!!!!!!

Eddie is also my absolute fave, Transylva! I like Tsujatha quite a bit, but he still can't beat out Eddie. (Sorry, Tsu!) Keeping Eddie in character, yet making him lovable is something that Laufey does an outstanding job on.
The only thing I would change is if in TOB Eddie would give Charname an engagement ring. Maybe it could keep the pc from feeling fear or giving her a fireball once a day in the case of emergencies.
Sorry, my mind is wandering!

I must say before I installed the Edwin romance I absolutely hated the guy. But I'm one to install a mod and play it through once no matter what(or maybe no matter almost what) Your mod however made me see deeper into Edwin(a) and actually really begin to love him.

Thank you all. :) I certainly don't delude myself into thinking everybody will like the mod, but if I've managed to satisfy both people who liked Edwin before playing it and others who didn't, I couldn't ask for more.

Hmmm...never had anyone call me 'normal' before! You are the first! And glad that HDR is coming along. Me and sis will have to wait a little longer for Eddie's flirt pack, tho. It's hard to wait for! I check each day and sometimes several times a day!

Yeah, it's me...
Minarvia, dear, why do you think so?
Well, well... I really don't want to debate with somebody about my love. My Edwin. NOT "my favourite" NPC. NOT NPC, no - real man, my sweet, my wonderful lover.

Since this seem to be the flattery thread, I'll add my opinion.

I'm like halfway through the ER, and I couldn't be happier with it. At first I thought it would be ridiculous - how could a character like Edwin possibly have a romance? But you've managed to pull it off while keeping Edwin true to the character while elaborating on him enough to make him human and believable. The romance is funny without being too silly, romantic without being mushy, and poignant without being pretentious. Thank you so much for creating this unique and enjoyable mod!

Laufey and Dorotea, I came across your mod quite by accident one day and was so intrigued by the prospect of a romance with the sneering Thayvian wizard that I had to dust off my Baldur's Gate 2 cds and install them. And am I ever glad that I did! As I'm sure many have noticed, there's not exactly a lot of good roleplaying opportunities for evil-aligned PCs ( let alone a decent romance) but you did a marvelous job of creating one for us. I'd loved the fact that you faithfully kept Eddie as his devious, meglomaniacal self but still managed to write a mod that was also touching and incredibly funny.

Kudos!

Proserpina.
