I suck at making a start-from-scratch tutorial for people who know zero about modding, however here is a break down of the needed steps for various parts which are tricky to handle:
List of actions for mod item compatibility
1) prepare a zip (or rar, etc.) file containing:
- All .itm files you can get via the mod, complete with description (preferably as a weidu mod, see weidu --automate)
- List of armors and shields in the mod broken down per type (EG in BGII you'd have
Chains:
CHAN04
CHAN05
CHAN06
...
Splint:
CHAN01
CHAN02
CHAN03
...
2) send the result of your researches to me (see here for contact info).
3) After some time I'll contact you back with additional work to do, which should be quite lenghty (revising all descriptions).
4) send the results to me again.
5) wait for the next release.
What we will do is:
a) make all items which offer strenght bonuses and/or deal poison damage be unusable by the sword angel (as per his description).
B) integrate the armors and shields in our Revised Armor system (including descriptions).
List of actions for compatibility with kit mods:
Send me (see above for the link) the ADD_KIT command and the kit description (if we need more I'll ask), there is no additional action needed by you.
Hopefully TGM and/or Littiz will include more about integration in the new HLA selection.
