Bug: Cannot leave Garotten castle

Using v2.0

I'm in the second part of the game now, I cleared out the orc and lizard caves (fun and challenging I might add :D )

Anyway I'm in the middle of exploring Garotten castle and I decided I wanted to go back to town to talk to the person that gives the quest to investigate the missing sailors because I solved it. When I leave the castle to the world map, clicking on the map icons does nothing. I can't enter other SOBH areas nor can I enter the BG1 areas. Dunno if this will clear up after I finish the castle but wanted to bring it to your attention.

Also I've been getting random CTD's just like the Beregost epidemic.
This only has been occuring in the Garotten chapter, I'm using BGT


In the main hall of Garotten castle, go to the right and down the spiral steps to the big room with all the doors, try to rest down there and you get a CTD.

Also I explored too much of the castle, and that one guy (forget his name) yelled at me and called for the guards. Some name guards and the Orc lieutenants are now agro, as is the lady and her advisor. The only strange thing is that the normal guards and the orc guards dont attack me while everything else does. If I kill an orc none of the other orcs will agro either.

Talking to Bess after clearing out the lizard caves gets you your reward of 1000xp, but talk to her again and she will ask you to investigate again.

Freed the 3 suspects from the jail, all the people at their respective locations still say that they were captured. Balmorrow acts as if this is the first time I have ever spoken to him.

The very last thing Peltar says before sending you back to BG1, "Stay away from the Iron Fist guards and good luck."
Should be Flaming fist, not iron fist.


Anyway, thanks for the fun mod, I enjoyed it very much. Keep up the good work!

Cool! That is the best bug report I have had in awhile on this mod. Interesting that some of them should have long since been fixed. Hmm. The worldmap issue should have been fixed in the lastest Worldmap. Which version did you install?

Resting the castle. I hadn't thought of checking that part of the area files to make sure everything is okay. It shoulds like your rest was interupted and the appearing creature caused a crash.

The rest are dialog issues I need to fix again. Thanks for pointing them out.

I'm using yacomos world map, I believe it is the latest one.


In the castle in restenford, battle music plays as you walk around

At many places, you can go insde of buildings even if the door is locked by moving your mouse to a certain point. The icon will change to the "Go Inside" icon. One example is the lighthouse in restenford.

Some of the houses/buildings in Garroton are difficult to enter, you have to place your mouse pointer on the exact spot.

In Garotten, the house where the npc marvin is located. Talk to him, go upstairs and come back down. 2 marvins will be there, do it again and 3 marvins will be there etc..

During the Lizard king battle, the king and a bunch of his flunkies got stuck on a wall and just stood there while I beat the crap out of them.

I have the same problem - cannot leave Garroten Castle? Is there any trigger to it? I basically killed everyone aggressive and left the guards. Found some documents also..

As already stated, this is a Worldmap issue. You will have to CLUA to area BH2000 (Garrotten) for now until version 6 or whatever of the Worldmap mod comes out.

Even CLUA to area BH2000 (Garrotten) causes crash. The same for BH2200.
